### ⭐⭐⭐

Good for hardcore fans, otherwise... leave it.

*by T***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 July 2016*

Unless you're a hardcore fan, this isn't the easiest thing to read. Having at least a basic knowledge of "crisis on infinite earths" and the follow up story arcs, especially the omac project (batman creating what becomes "brother eye", ted kord's/blue beetle's death, wonder woman apparently killing maxwell lord) is essential otherwise you will just be left scratching your head wondering what on earth(s) is happening here. The art work is fantastic. The layout is well conceived and put together beautifully, although some of the panes can be a little hard to follow in the correct order. The storyline is a good premise, however in places it seems to jump to completely unrelated parts of the story for no particular reason. It did seem as though it wanted to acknowledge just about every modern comic book character that had been referenced in the DCU (D.C. Universe, to the uninitiated) and for the vast majority of those characters, there wasn't much more than a one or two pane appearance... cast of thousands, came to mind. With this many characters, how big a part can each one have? Core characters excluded of course. There were moments when the story felt a little empty, rushing towards the end without much of an explanation of what's actually happening. It does redeem itself towards the end with the different aspects of the stories tying in with each other, but in my opinion, infinite crisis could have used a few more episodes to really explore the characters before plunging them into all out war with one another. As part of the "crisis" series, it's a great read. On its own, not so much...And to think, this (at the time) was basically the penultimate episode of a story arc that ran for 25 years.

### ⭐⭐

    Very disappointing.

*by T***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 May 2020*

Every DC crossover since Crisis on Infinite Earths seems to Spiral towards disjointed confusion and this is no different. The instruction appears to be to cram as many characters into every panel and ramble on with no continuity .So many iconic Superheroes wasted in a nonsense plot and pitiful ending. It's all over the place.Gets two for some decent artwork.

### ⭐⭐⭐

Characters don't get enough characterisation even though they do some pretty cool things

*by K***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 August 2015*

An interesting, and universe shattering (literally) story. This graphic novel has very well drawn art, for the most part. George Perez returns to draw some issues, but I can't help feel that his art style is so dated and old. The story should be epic, but for me seems very small. Characters don't get enough characterisation even though they do some pretty cool things. They just feel empty. But this story was enjoyable enough to keep me almost satisfied.
