I had seen this advertised but didn't have much confidence that it would help with the thick callouses on my feet. It took a recommendation from my podiatrist before I ordered and now I'm thinking, "Wow, why didn't I get this years ago???" The design fits well in my hand, it's easy to use, easy to clean, and most importantly, it works! It's taken three or four sessions to eliminate the thick callous on one foot but now that it's down to the skin it should be a breeze to maintain. I use the Amope after I shower when my feet are still slightly damp (podiatrist recommendation) and then follow by rubbing coconut oil into the skin. There's no discomfort, just amazing results. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this because I was not able to keep up my feet, but wanted to still wear sandals for the rest of the summer and not be embarrassed. I love it! Wasnt sure what to expect, I have never had anything like this. Fast, easy painless way to get rid of callouses and dry spots. The handle is good size, good weight and non slip rubber coated. ordered one for my sister in law and she loves hers too Edit: I went back and reread description on Dual Dpeed and An Extra Course roller ... Yup it says it is dual speed. Nope its single speed, unless Off is now considered a speed? Its a bummer, I bought it thinking Dual Speed would be helpful The Extra Course roller is the single roller that is Extra Course that comes in package. Its not an extra roller lol. But I love it. I searched Amazon for rollers and found off /other brands that have vatiety 12 packs, or all one type, etc. 12 rollers for just under $10 and they work great. Just look for "works with Amopee"

I've been waiting quite a while for Amope to come out with a traditional battery operated version that is water resistant, so I purchased this right away. Optional dual speeds is a nice touch, and having push button operation is convenient. The unit works fine for exfoliating the dead skin, but is a bit more difficult to hold due to the lack of rubberized coating that the others have. The handle is somewhat oval and the finish is smooth, making it slip in your hand at times when positioning the tool. I'm happy that the battery compartment has a gasket around it on the inside to prevent water from getting inside, but disappointed that there was a need to lose one good feature in order to get another. I use my Amope frequently and don't like the built-in rechargeable versions because I don't want mine dying mid-use and then having to wait hours for it to charge so I can use it again. Also, at some point the machine's built-in battery will stop taking a charge at all, forcing me to buy a whole new unit. For years I've been using 2 sets of rechargeable batteries in the regular Amope version - one in use, while the other recharges. When the batteries start to lose power, I simply switch them out and I'm immediately ready to go again. That system has served me well except for one feature I really wanted. I don't know about you, but my heels become super dry, especially in winter, so using the tool results in a lot of white powdery dry skin being scraped and sent airborne, getting all over the machine. As a result, it drives me nuts if I don't clean it afterwards, which is why I was waiting for something that I could safely rinse off without ruining the battery compartment, etc. I don't understand why the company couldn't just keep the old design while incorporating the water resistant gasket into the newer model. It would have made the 'improved' version perfect, but instead I've been forced to wrap a few flat rubber bands around the handle to keep me from dropping it accidentally. I wish that the people who sit and design items on a computer, thinking they're making improvements, would actually have to use their creations for a while to see whether they work as intended in the real world. For now, I've gained a feature I truly wanted while losing a feature that was truly needed.

What is there not to like about this? I have had dry cracked heel's for awhile now and I have all the "callus" shavers, pumice bars and creams you can have. This product beats them all. I have used it twice now and it has made such a difference. This is not a one and done product. This is something you can use daily if you have severe cracked heels until you get the results you want, then use as you see fit going forward. I had seen a review before buying this that said if you press to hard the motor will stop, well yeah of course it will. You should NOT be pressing hard...you need to actually press lightly so it can do its job. I put on Nieva lotion afterwards and they feel so soft. After just TWO uses I feel such a difference. I HIGHLY recommend giving this a try especially if you don't have the funds to go out and get pedicures often.

Comfortable to hold this took care of the rough skin on my heels. I have minor cracking and rough spots on my feet due to running around barefoot all the time going into my late 20s its starting to get worse and more noticeable and I hate people touching my feet so I avoid pedicures where that could be taken care of and moisturizer doesn’t seem to help so I got this to see if it would help and after a few uses my feet are smoother and no longer want to snag my sheets at night!

I have never had a problem with scaly callused feet until this year when I started working from home so that my “work shoes” literally became flip flops. (I mean who sees your feet in a teleconference anyway, right?) My heels became so hard and scaly that even my 13-year-old son was like, “Ewwww. What’s up with your feet???” It took five minutes with this little gizmo to have soft smooth feet again —way better than any pumice stone has ever accomplished. Love it! The batteries that came with it died after only one use. Actually, they started dying before I ever finished. And it takes 4 AA batteries. Wow.
