Black Or White, Luv or $?
If music could be a cartoon, Prince's Parade would b it. Parade to me, sounds like a conceptual album, rather than actual music. Alot of the trax are French inspired, the horns and strings, the whole bit. There r no duds on here, like 99 percent of Prince's albums. The only questionable track would b "Life Can B So Nice". I used 2 absolutely adhore this song, but when I listened 2 it today, I caught myself singin' along, so I guess I like it! Lyrically, this album is very romantic and poetic. It conjures up images of french kissing on the banks of some Parisian river, under a cherry moon of course. This is a frantic yet strange offering from Prince. The movie is also a wonderful piece of work, which makes the total package worth it.

Prince's Overlooked Masterpiece!
I am a lifelong Prince fan, and have all of his work through the early 2000s. To me, this is one of my favorite Prince albums and definitely the most under-rated. It was released at a time when there was a Prince backlash and the movie itself was poor, so many critics and fans didn't give this album a chance. The diversity and virtuosity is amazing here. Boys and Girls was one of his funkiest songs ever and should have been a major hit. Anotherloverholenyohead is another funk classic! Sometimes it Snows in April is one of his most heartfelt ballads. Moreover, it is the song that coincidentally triggers the most grief about the death given the month and the last two lines of the song. You already know about "Kiss", one of his best singles. Please give this a listen a few times and I will guarantee that it will become a compulsion.

Life Is Just A Parade...
Prince is one of my favorite Artists ever the man is a musical genius Parade is the soundtrack to his second film Under The Cherry Moon which is a very underrated film but it was overshadowed by this great soundtrack which are some of Prince best songs ever "Kiss" was a big hit when it came out it gave Prince his 3rd #1 song on the Billboard charts "Mountains" was a moderate hit and also had a video featuring The Revolution "Girls And Boys" another moderate hit that underperformed but still a good song "Under The Cherry Moon" a nice Prince Slow jam over a piano beat very underrated song "Sometimes It Snows In April" the album closer is forsure to have anybody in tears it's a very sad and emotional song and a great one to end a great album any Prince fan would enjoy this album I recommend listen for yourself and hurry and purchase this classic album.

One of Prince's underrated masterpiece's!!!!!
I used to have this soundtrack on CD back in 02 when I found it at a local used CD/audio tape store in Kent, Ohio. Hadn't heard any songs on it prior to buying it, but I saw it was done by Prince and I mean come on.....anything done by Prince is an instant classic!!! 14 years later and I wish I still had that CD (I lost it). So I had to come back on Amazon and get the MP3's. This soundtrack has so many underrated awesome songs. It deserves to be ranked up there with 'Purple Rain' Soundtrack. I'm giving it 5 stars because this soundtrack is purely a masterpiece as only Prince could do it. True fans of his will understand the transition he made from Purple Rain to Under the Cherry Moon. And even if you aren't a Prince fan, you'll still appreciate this work of art!

Prince...nuff said.
I remember the 80's cd version had the songs blend together. This cd doesn't...weird.
