First off, this is not a Ranch Hand brush guard. It will not deflect deer or protect any part of the truck during a collision. However it is half the price of a lower end R.H. or Westin guard, so if you like the look of a guard or just want to add some protection to your headlights/ a place to mount fogs/or a light bar this is a perfect option. The finish is fine for the price and can be easily coated. The guard itself goes together easily and is pretty straight forward, however it does not include ANY type of instruction and the parts list is pretty unimpressive, so if your not great mechanically you might want to have it installed professionally. I gave it 4 stars based on the price, $231, that I paid. It is not a 5 star unit but it is an excellent brush guard for the price but there are a lot better units out there but you have to pay double or more for them.The instructions are some of the worst I have ever seen!!!! It comes with extra brackets for both the 1500 and the brackets for the 2500 or 3500 HD Silverado's, that also made it a lot harder to figure out the instructions.The lower brackets use the smaller brackets for the 1500 and the longer brackets for the 2500 or 3500 HD's, you only use one set and have the others as spares.I included some pictures of the brackets installed on my 2500 HD, I hope that helps anyone else who buys this unit.

Really easy install on my 2006 Duramax. Instructions don't offer much but it's pretty straightforward with minimal tools. Looks great!

While the quality of this grill guard is okay it does not fit a 2014-18 Chevy Silverado as advertised. I took it to an experienced shop locally. They said they expected it to take "maybe an hour or a little longer". They do several a month. After three and a half hours they asked to keep the pickup overnight. They had to cut out part of the plastic on the pickup, need to cut and weld extensions on the supports...in short it just doesn't fit! I have a sound welding and fabrication shop background and after being shown what they were telling me I was sorry I hadn't just returned the damn thing. With having the grill and bumper totally removed, plastic already cut and 3.5 hours of shop time, I am too far in to have them put it back together and box up the guard and return it! Sure wish I would have!! Anyone wanting a grill guard I suggest you give this a pass, go to a local shop and have them order one in they know will actually fit!.

I had to remove the tow hooks to install this to my 2004 Tahoe...I didn't like that, but the company took it back with no problem so kudos to them. It looked good though...wished I could have used it.

Good for the price, but missing some of the bolts, washers and nuts. Had to go to the hardware store and buy some.

Looks great and feels solid.Must trim bumper and grill for all brackets to go through.

It didn't actually match to the vehicle and I couldn't find a way to contact anyone to see if they made different brackets.
