Childhood Nostalgia
Pure nostalgia of a simpler time in life. I had one of these as a child, we went to Kmart and my Grandfather saw it and got it for me. So holding this one was just pure bliss. It has the same build quality as they did back then. Easy to use, very functional for getting rid of unwanted pest on your lawn. The power is perfect to scare off anything if you're not aiming at them intentionally to hurt them. It's worth every penny, dime, dollar. If you remember that sound it makes as you shoot it then feel right at home.

Excellent quality for the price point.
Anybody who has seen A Christmas Story knows this BB gun. And yeah, if you shoot the wrong thing, you can indeed shoot your eye out. (Not sure if that's a selling point, but it is a feature, I guess.) I like this one. Admittedly, with Crosman Copperheads, I found it hit about 2 inches left at 10 yards...but it's an old-school BB gun for under $40, and you don't have to pump it a dozen times to make it work. I very cautiously nudged the rear sight a little, tested, nudged more, tested, nudged more, and now I can routinely hit a golf-ball size target at 12 yards with ease and regularity. (It's not adjustable for windage so you'll be bending the rear sight, so go easy, don't get frustrated and whack it, that's stupid. Figure out the brand of ammo you 1, like, 2, can source reliably, and adjust your sight to where it hits. Crosman Copperheads? They're evergreen, any decent story will have them, safe pick.) If you can hit a golf ball reliably with any weapon at 12 yards off-hand unsupported...that's not too shabby. Is it a $900 rifle? No. But for $40 and no "pump incessantly" it's a good little plinker. Built well, haven't broken it. It's weighty so it helps hold itself steady and feels like more than "just" a BB gun. It isn't a pump-power monster, it's a spring-power BB gun, but it'll definitely move a reactive target with ease. Satisfying "thwack" on cardboard. Even if it did break...it's $40, the cost of a bucket of fried chicken. I've run probably 5,000 through it and feel like I've already got my $40 worth out of it, so if it does break I can buy another with no anger. Construction, very little plastic in it. It doesn't feel cheap or budget based. I could totally see this rifle at double the price and selling well and still being a value. It's got that old school 1940s look, but it actually performs. Very few things at this price point have any kind of performance, so to say it's a great deal isn't doing it justice. You're not hitting a target at 200 yards or mounting a scope to go elk hunting with it, but for a back yard plinker, it's very good for the price point. I've spent way more for way less enjoyment. The only "con" I have? When you're running low on BBs (Maybe around 100 left) you'll find that occasionally it won't feed more with ease, even if you hold it at an angle and cock it. The solution? Reload more BBs. I'm easily getting 450+ shots per loading. Just keep it topped off and it's not a problem. So, you can't easily run it fully dry with perfect function, big deal. Is it a Benjamin Marauder at nearly a grand? No. It's a $40 BB gun...but for $40 it's a tremendous deal. If I had a kid and they wanted to learn shooting, this would be my go-to pick. Feels sturdy, durable, long-lasting, and like all guns; once you figure out where the shot is hitting, it'll hit there pretty much every time, so there's plenty of learning space there. If you need a thousand dollar BB gun to be a good shot, you're not a good shot. Great introduction to shooting, and a fun shooter for people who want to shoot more but can't shoot full-power weapons due to various reasons. In the past week I've fired more than 5,000 shots, and with full-power weapons I simply couldn't have for various reasons, so I'm loving it. IMO, for learning the basics of marksmanship, it's a rock solid pick. If you can't learn to hit with this, you couldn't with a gun ten or twenty times more expensive. It would be a fantastic "starter" shooter for someone who wants to develop true proficiency. Just keep using the same brand/model BBs and learn to shoot the gun. I'm not sure how it'd perform if you tried to swap ammo around and use different stuff, but consistency will reward you with satisfying thwacks.

Good Buy
I bought it to scare raccoons, but it doesn't have enough power to bother them. Great starter for a child.

Works Like A Charm!
I purchased this to scare the squirrels out of my large tree and it works like a charm. It isn't powerful enough to seriously injure them, put it's painful enough to make them run for the fence as soon as I open the door. The squirrels learn quickly that climbing to the top of the tree is pointless. The gun is very accurate and very easy to use. I like this much better than ones which require a CO2 cartridge. It's also great for target shooting. Highly recommend.

¿pero qué he comprado a mi edad?.
