This is the "living" part of living soil, along with other fungus and bacteria. The concentrate is filled with billions if not trillions of microorganisms just waiting to hook up with a plant and develop a symbiotic relationship. So congratulations the concentrate is doing what it is suppose to! **Q: can I mix this with fox farm ocean forest or do I need to use another soil ?** A: Yes you can use it with fox farm ocean forest.then just water. no need to add anything else to plants **Q: do i leave this mix in the bottom of the pot, or do i mix it all into the pottion soil im using?** A: I have had different results when using it in the bottom third of the pot. I now mix it thoroughly throughout the entire pot and have wonderful results. It can be used both ways and is entirely left up to the grower. **Q: What's the expiration of an unopened product, and what is the shelf life once opened?** A: If you store it in a dark cool dry place it can be stored for a year (technically it can be stored indefinitely). I have 3 plants thriving in this soil. Yes it does smell awful but if it didn't it might not work. The smell stopped for me after I mixed it with other organic soil. Like I said my plants are thriving and all I do is use PH balanced water. Makes growing so much easier.
