This Shark Is Smoooooooth
I've been shaving with double edge safety razors for over a year now and have experimented with a LOT of blades. The Shark Super Stainless line is one of the better values in the shaving world. They're sharp, smooth and last several shaves. I recently bought a Leaf Twig and now a Leaf Thorn, both of which use single edge blades that are simply DE blades snapped in half. That way you don't have to use proprietary blades that often are expensive and/or are hard to find. I snapped a couple of Shark blades in half to use in my Twig but remembered that Shark offers them already cut in half, so I ordered these. Same great quality. Plenty sharp, a fantastic bargain. If you only use each blade once, it's still only a nickel per shave. I highly recommend these for shavers who use the Leaf line of razors.

No plastic waste, but not the sharpest in my set up.
They cut well enough, but they tend to grab and pull at the hair a bit more than Derby blades. For reference, I use these in a Leaf razor. It uses 3 single blades like this in a row to mimic a disposable razor. Feather seems to tug the least, but are more expensive. It's a good option if you want to save money and reduce plastic waste.

From a novice...
This was my first attempt at straight-razor shaving. I bought the Dovo shavette along with these blades. At first I was underwhelmed and thought I wouldn't use them again. They nicked my face and were incredibly sharp. I spoke to my barber who swears by these and he said, "your face hasn't gotten used to the straight razor yet and you haven't developed the proper technique yet." I thought I had perfected my technique and gave my face enough time (about a month), but apparently I was just being impatient. It took me a good 3 months to figure out that without noticing it, the angle of the razor was constantly shifting in my hands. This is something you don't hear about in the tutorials, but let me tell you... it's a matter of a great shave and a hack job! The shavette is made from aluminum and is incredibly light-weight, which can be good or bad depending on your technique. For me, I'd like a little more heft, but after getting a good feel for it, it's my go-to razor. I love this razor because the blades last longer and are cheaper than anything else you can find and believe it or not, prevent razor-burn, rashes, and bumps way better than any cheapy plastic multi-foil gellette fuzion razors, etc. Plus, who in the right mind would ever pay $4/cartridge? My regimen is to shave right after a hot shower, use a brush with the best shave soap, and shave with the grain both sides of my face, then my upper lip, then my chin. I use very light pressure and just take off the very thick stubborn beard. Then I go back over everything with my double-edge safety razor and use that to do my neck. I find this the best for me. I never get any nicks and the straight razor keeps my double edge razors sharper for a lot longer. Now I go 1-2 months before I need to replace a single blade, which is amazing since I have a fast-growing thick beard. I used to destroy those cheap fake razors in a single shave, so now I have the best shave ever. My advice: 1) Don't expect a baby-smooth shave out of the gate... You have to first perfect your technique and lower your expectations. If you never got a perfect shave before, nothing will change that except your products, prep, and technique. 2) At first, do not shave your entire face with it, stay away from your chin and neck. Stick with flat surfaces like your cheeks. Only after a couple months and your very comfortable move onto your upper lip, then practice under the chin. Very last is your actual chin. 3) Don't be afraid to try it out! The best thing about the shavette and these razors is that it's so cheap, so who cares if you don't earn an extra "man-card" LOL! 4) There's no better satisfaction than learning this manly ritual. Once you do, you'll feel obligated to pass it onto your plastic cartridge friends who think the dollar shave club and light beer are awesome, j/k : ) 5) Now that you've mastered the art with a shavette, it's time to look for the holy grail of razors and invest in a real "cut-throat" straight edge razor! Happy Shaving!

Sharp like a sharks teeth
Ok I have to be honest , idk if its my hair type but these blades leave me with cuts all over my face it looks like I was attacked by a cat. They are sharp as heck though, one time the blade went through the folded towel and cut my finger on the other side. They work well if you have short face hair, if you haven't shaved for a day (like me) they never quite get the hair short, leaves you with stubble all over the place. Shaving takes about 30 minutes, unlike its 5 minute super razors they sell today.

Manly Stuff
Bought this to accompany the barber-style straight razor I got. I don't know how different other brands of half blade are, but I have no complaints about these. Big box (I don't think I'll ever run out), mad cheap, cool graphic on the front. Each blade is individually wrapped in waxy paper to prevent rust (after 10 months no blades are opening rusty). I get about 3 shaves with no discernible drop in sharpness, but I have very thin facial hair that won't abrade the blade as much as others' will. Regardless, you can change the blade after one use or 5 depending on your desire. I've found these to work well with any shaving cream, but prefer thicker shaving soaps applied w/ a brush. Canned stuff is very light in comparison and the blade will go over your face too quickly and the difference in resistance between hair and shaving cream can lead to slips. I like a nice even glide while cutting through soap and hair with nearly even resistance. The blades are quite strong for how thin they are and have a lot of flex. This lends them to some other applications like scraping sticker goop off of surfaces (I have never had a better tool for that than these razors! they flex to the surface and get things off in one stroke).
