4-Piece Christening Baptism Suspender Short Set - Black or White Cap Bowtie

This outfit was for my son’s baptism. It was absolutely adorable! As others said, though, the suspended straps were extraordinarily long and kept slipping off. I took them up at least an inch and they were still too long (I didn’t realize this until the morning of the baptism and didn’t have time to take them up more. He looked precious but the straps still fell off of his shoulders). The shorts are pretty sheer and the print on his diaper could be seen right through. Ultimately I still loved the outfit!….but believe the reviews that say the straps are long. Put your child in a plain white diaper when they will be wearing this.

I would give this a 5 star if it wasn't so expensive! I absolutely loved how they looked on my little grandson's at my daughter's wedding! We had a summer wedding in Denver in July-Hot! So I wanted the boys dressed up, but I knew a 2-2 year olds would be uncomfortable in pants and a long-sleeved dress shirt. I just didn't have time to try to find short-sleeved dress shirts, then suspenders, a bow tie, and matching black shorts. That was too many different parts to hunt down. So this is what I chose, like I said EXPENSIVE, but oh so adorable especially when it comes with a little hate too. Can't trade the memories for the cost, so I would still recommend if they need a little man to look absolutely outstanding for a special event. The boys never complained or itched/scratched at anything. These were worn right out of the packing. So for 2 yrs old not to complain is a blessing.

Bought this outfit for both my sons to be baptized together in sizes 3-6 months for my 6 week old who at the time was 12 pounds and 23 inches and 3T for my 2.5 year old son who is 36 inches tall and 31 pounds. They both ran a little small, but as many other reviewers commented the suspenders were very long, especially on the infant size (a couple safety pins fixed this no problem although the straps fell down on my 2 yo quite a bit. This review does not include the hats. I think they ran a little large, but I did not even want to deal with hats. Still, very cute and could not beat it for the price for something they wore for only a few hours. Included is a picture of my 2 year old snoozing in his outfit.

my son wears 24 mo shirt and 18 mo pants so I went with the 18-24 mo size. deff go 1 size bigger when ordering. it just fit and its 100% cotton so WILL shrink. I did not dry this, if I did it would have not fit at all.it did look VERY cute on him for the wedding and he got ALOT of compliments. the straps do fall down and don't really stay up on their own. I did safety pin then and it worked well. would work too if you stitched them together. the bow tie was kinda hard. it does not go around the neck. it metal clips to slide on to the collar. I would buy this outfit again just a bigger size.

I took one star away because it is on the small side. I ordered a size 2T, my son wears size 18-24 months and this just fits him. He will not be able to wear it in 2 months. On a more positive note, it is absolutely adorable. The material is lightweight (perfect for summer) without being so thin that it is see-through. He was comfortable in the outfit and kept it on, including the hat, throughout the whole event. (Which is something that parents with toddlers know is an extraordinary achievement.) LOL! If I had it to do again, I would probably have gotten a 3T. FYI...my son is tall (98th percentile) and lean so the reference to it being too small more refers to the suspenders just fitting over his shoulders. If he was just a tad bit taller they would not have fit or would have been very uncomfortable for him.

My son wore it for his dedication and he was so handsome! Shirt was a little snug and suspenders kept falling down. Other than that it was perfect!

This little outfit is super cute. The only thing about it, as other reviewers mentioned, was the suspenders being a bit too big. That being said, I did order a 3T where my son typically fits a 2T and the rest of the outfit was perfect. So perhaps the outfit runs a bit small and the suspenders were made for the 3T size (the hat was a teeny bit too big as well). We just made sure the back was crossed on the suspenders and ended up using a safety pin on them to keep them up. We found some white knee socks at Burlington coat factory that worked perfectly and paired them with black canvas vans. All in all, great buy!

It came exactly as described. Cute, my baby was comfortable, and even left the hat on!
