One tag attaches to the pet's collar and the second to the pet owner's key chain. Both are made of extremely durable and weather resistant material and both feature the state of the art QR (Quick Response) Code, which when scanned by an ordinary smart phone, sets a process into motion that is nothing short of remarkable. When the pet's tag is scanned, a photo of the pet is provided for visual confirmation, complete contact information on the pet owner is provided to help locate the owner and information such as medical conditions, temperament, likes and dislikes, etc. are provided to aid in the care and treatment of the pet in the owner's absence. An email automatically goes out to the owner and another party designated by the owner, alerting them that the pet's tag has been scanned. The finder of the pet is prompted to input the location of the pet. Another email then goes out to the owner advising him of the pet's location with GPS mapping available to aid the owner in getting to that location. As impressive as this sounds, MY PET INFO 911 realized that pet owners wanted to be more proactive in the search for a missing pet and do not want to have to wait for someone to find the pet and scan the code. The owner's key chain tag does just that, allowing the owner to scan the code on the tag as soon as the pet goes missing. This activates the "panic button" feature, which prompts the owner to input information such as when and where the pet was last seen and any other information that would be helpful in the search.
