Dell Optiplex 7040 SFF Intel Core i5-6500, 16GB Ram, 256GB SSD, DVD-RW, WiFi ，Win 11 Pro (Renewed)

This was totally plug and play! It synced up to the wifi flawlessly and the quality has been great. Its not very big, so it doesn't take up.much space, and its super quiet when it powers on and runs. Great value. Now let's just hope this one doesn't crap out at 7 months, but if it does, hopefully, they make it right. It did come with a message from the seller that added a sweet personal touch, and I appreciate that.

Seems to be working OK. Window 11 needs time to learn how to work it. It's very different than windows 10. It was smaller and lighter than expected. Hardware inside fits product description very well. Over all, so far so good. It looked and smell like new not a rebuilt. I am very please with this purchase so far. Highly recommend purchasing the desktop Dell PC if windows 11 is what you need. It fits the bill in my opinion.

I am using this for a basic email and web surfer machine. It is very fast..... looks and runs like a brand new machine. Came with a new keyboard and mouse (not refurb) but the most basic cheap KB and mouse. The machine specs out exactly as advertised. Even came with CD/DVD player/ burner. The case is small form factor, so do not get it with the expectation of getting and doing a lot of upgrades. There is a PCI Express. There were NO unpleasant or unexpected surprises. Runs super quiet.... really not bad at all. Here is the deal as to why its so cheap for the most part. The copy of windows is an OEM version issued and licensed exclusively to Dell. You do not get a copy of Windows on disc with this machine, you get a hard drive with an image file on it ( the main drive has a partition on it) which is where the copy is located. You can do full factory restore from that partition and set the machine up like it was the day you got it and it will activate and be a legitimate copy/machine.... BUT it only works on the machine it shipped out with (or one just like it) Microsoft has almost reached the end of life with Win 10.... set for about Oct 2025. I ran the test to see if the machine would take win 11 upgrade and it says NO...however a Google search results many people saying they have run it just fine. The primary reason it fails is the processor. It is not in the recommended list of processors that Microsoft recommends for Windows 11. It passed on every thing else. And like I said there have been many folks who have said they have installed it (win 11) and it is running just fine with this very processor. In conclusion at this price it is almost basically a disposable cup...wait I mean PC, LOL.... you could just buy a new one every couple of years. Or you can do as I am going to and get the latest copy of Linux / Ubuntu Wilma and run that. (free for personal use) You can burn a copy that will boot and run from a USB drive if you want to try before installing (I have no affiliation with Linux or make any thing off this suggestion, its just something I personally like) Ok to end this, I have worked on/built computers for the last 30 + years and have quite a large knowledge base and I just can not find any reason to complain about this PC/purchase.

What a great price for this tower, plus it's smaller than the average tower (been awhile since I've had to purchase). And I was pleasantly surprised that it came with a mouse and washable keyboard . . Definitely a winner!

This thing is such junk! Took me 3 hrs out of the box to do all the updates and it kept freezing up. Then kept restarting me. Here's what really did me in that decided to run it for 2 weeks to see what would happen. About 9 or more times a day will loose keyboard and wifi. You have to unplug an plug back in. This morning it did the mouse .. I run a autoparts business an need a compact as it sits up inside my desk. Well I now have cut a whole in my desk to none stop unplug and plug all day long... my wifi signal is strong. All other computers and tvs running great. Just this one is junk. Now I have so much time invested into putting my business stuff in this im very agrivated. Add said some scratched. I open the box. Looks like it was slid down a ramp or thrown.. very agrivated with this purchase

I'm very pleased with this purchase. It's my first SSD and I'm impressed. Very quiet. The computer is lightning fast. I also like the small form factor. The computer was not in its original box, but was well packed. It looked li ke a new computer. The keyboard had some staining which looked like hard water minerals, but it functioned flawlessly.

So Quiet, It is unbelieveable. There is No computer noise when running. It starts and shuts down in seconds. I added a 2TB external drive that was only 79.00. So now for a small investment of less than $250... I now have better computer than I have ever owned. The windows 11 pro is awesome... It is also very small and takes up a very small footprint. The Dvd player works much better and seems much clearer than when wstching on my previous Hp unit which died...

It works but ok when you purchase a new WiFi card. The one provided was defective or not able to communicate with router perhaps due to incompatibility in the driver. I purchased a new WiFi dongle and it works well.
