Awesome for checking signals in a broadcast environment
I don't use this as intended; I use this to check signals in place of a $1000+ Pha*rix device. For someone who works in broadcast video, this is the best 200 bucks I have ever spent. Its the best way to confirm when someone says "we are sending you 1080p" but you are seeing 1080i. Buy a tiny usb cable for it and you can strap it to a power bank to make it completely hand-held.

Great little monitor
I work in broadcast television and a friend suggested this monitor to me. As a small test monitor it is awesome. It very small which makes it very handy to carry around and test equipment. The picture is very sharp and while it small, it lets you confirm that you do have a signal. I have t powered with a small12V power cell intended to recharge a cell phone. It does have a converter built in that lets you convert from HD-SDI to HDMI which would be helpful to test those monitors as well. I could not be happier with it.

SDI to HDMI
Usually a fan of Decimators but decided to be a tad more thrifty and try one of these converters. Reviews were good, so I took a chance. Pleased to say, for the situation we needed it for, it works great. We needed to send the SDI feed from a BlackMagic switcher into a hotel ballrooms HDMI wall plate connection at 59.94, and it worked like a charm, freeing up Decimators to other tasks. Love the information presented on the display including an audio meter to check levels.

HD-SDI battery operated monitor that fits in my pocket!
I saw that it takes 5-18v DC so I purchased a USB 5 volt battery and a USB to power cable. I then used velcro to attach the battery to the monitor. It fits in my pocket and I use it to evaluate my HD-SDI signals when setting up behind the rim cameras for basketball. Since it has a loop through, I can even send the signal to the truck and view it locally at the same time. I just wished it would also provide a test signal. Then it would be perfect.

a great scaler
I was trying to run two 100' SDI cables through my Blackmagic ATEM mini pro - with BM HDMI-SDI to SDI-HDMI converters to two older projectors for an auditorium presentation. The BM high res signals were not compatible with the older projectors. The solution was to run one 100' SDI cable from the ATEM Mini Pro to the Lumantek Scaler and then split the HDMI out to the two projectors. Works! The BEST part of the Lumantek is that you can see the image of what will go out. There are lots of different settings available from the Lumantek, but it was a plug and play for me. No changing the dip switches. I could have saved a bunch of time and $$$ if I had started with the scaler.

Won't recognize 1080p59.94 B or 1080p60 B input. Only A.
Sweet box. But I can't get it to recognize 1080p59.94 B or 1080p60B. Just shows the frequency and displays a grey scale pattern. Only displays B.

Awesome test monitor
Perfect for checking video feeds. Comes with wall plug-in but def get yourself a 9v clip or charging stick to use as power supply for remote use. Most compact test monitor available.

Portable test monitor.
Grab a 9v battery clip for this thing and you have a perfect portable field monitor for troubleshooting. The scaling and audio meter read out/de-embedding are nice for fringe cases but mostly I use this and its hdmi -> sdi brother for checking signal lines in the field.
