I received one of these from a friend years ago and it wore out so i picked one up at a store like Walmart but it lasted only about 6 months; very thin but didn't mind because I only paid about $5 for it. These spillmats are great especially when baking pies, mine always seem to bubble over! The runover drips onto this mat and all you need to do is let it cool to a black char that crumbles or pops right off when washed in sink! After alittle research of all the different ones for sale I chose this mat, it is really good weight. The box states ELECTRIC ovens to place the mat/liner directly UNDER the visible element, so by that statement it means that it can be placed on the floor/bottom of the oven. For GAS OVENS it states DO NOT PLACE on bottom of oven as it will cover holes and/or vents in the oven. I'm going to love this one! It is much much heavier than my last one and alittle bit heavier than the very first one I owned. This one should last and last because of it's thickness! Oh yeah, and it fits perfectly inside my oven under neath the element.

I orginally ordered this item in July of 2009 from Amazon and afer 3 1/2 years of endless use, I will now have order another. I keep this item at the bottom of my convection oven and the only times I remove it is when I am going to "self-clean" the oven or wipe off spills from the mat itself. I have washed this with warm soapy water in the sink hundreds of times and draped it over the oven door to dry before placing it back on the bottom floor of the convection oven. I've never had a single issue with any "melting" and the non-stick qualities have been superb. After as much use as I've put it through, there were a couple of small dime-sized black "spots," probably from spill overs. Just small areas of darker discoloration, nothing too noticeable, unless you were washing it. Being the obsessive I am, I was attempting to scrub it off, thinking it may have been a particle of burnt food, and tore it. With the vast amount of service it has provided, I didn't even think about complaining. I will also say when I ordered this item last, it was almost twice the cost it is now. I feel this has product has held up extremely well, saved me enormous amounts of time cleaning the oven, and has kept my oven bottom looking new.

I was surprised at how thin the material was and wonder how long it will last. Although I only have a medium size wall oven (19" X 19"), no matter which direction I put the mat in, I could not get complete coverage. It was either too long and not wide enough or too wide and not long enough. I ended up trimming the length and put it in widthwise but there is now an area in the back which remains unprotected. I think the material should be sold in a size like 23" X 23" to ensure it will cover even the largest ovens. My only other disappointment was that the shipping and handling was more than the cost of the item. That being said, burnt-on droppings are easily removed with a wet sponge and water. The shipping time was delayed because UPS told the seller my address was undeliverable. After verifying the address was good through Amazon, the seller used an alternate shipping method and the item arrived shortly thereafter. The shipper enclosed a detailed explanation for the delay in receiving the item which only goes to show how committed they are to customer satisfaction. I would buy from this seller again.

I hate cleaning ovens! This makes the job a lot easier. It's heavy duty, I haven't tested the claim that it can withstand up to 500 degrees (I've never make it past 425 and I bake a lot). It fits my normal US-sized oven perfectly and because it said it in the description (which I didn't read before buying it) I just "shook off" the spills that were on it. Not as easy for the oil that spilled on it but everything else came off very quickly. Long story short, it's inexpensive, it fits perfectly on the bottom of my oven, and it does exactly what an oven mat should do.

I have had this oven mat for a while. When I first bought it, it was GREAT. The food that spilled or dripped or over flowed in the oven slide right off. THEN, about 8 months of use, it started smoking in my oven. Letting moisture under the mat and causing the oven to SMOKE, I'm talking a lot of smoke. I took it out, let it cool for a day, washed it with water and some Dish Soap, scrubbed the "custed" parts off... made sure it was 100% dry then..Tried it again. There was no food or water in my oven just pre-heating and it started smoking again. So I finally threw it away. I don't think I will ever purchase another one of these again. I am still unsure why it started smoking in the first place. Just use Foil. Much safer and less smokey!

I bought this for a friend who made the mistake of not buying her oven crisper at Amazon, which includes the mat.This keeps your oven clean when you use an oven crisper to bake french fries, Tater Tots, turnip fries and any frozen snack or pizza, rather than fry them. Both sides get done at once without having to turn them over. They are really crispy, but no grease. Of course, if the oven liner isn't included, you MUST have one.This one is the right size, good weight and a good price.

I ordered this product not knowing if it would fit in my oven, but it did! Yay! The material is quite obviously easy to clean so I'm happy with the product. I have a solid bottom oven, so I placed the mat under my element. I've used it once now, to reheat some pizza at 425F and it still looks fine. I'm going to keep an eye on it to make sure it does what it's supposed to do - withstand temperatures up to 600F.Will update accordingly.

I was initially disappointed when I unpacked this little gem. It seemed very flimsy and light weight. But was I wrong, while it does not seem substantial it WORKS. I have used it for 2 months now for all types of baking (up to 450 °F) and broiling, it does NOT melt and has held up well. It is easy to remove to clean and cleans up with only expected amount of scrubbing. So much better to be able to put it in sink, soak for a bit then clean it than spraying on oven cleaner, getting on knees and sticking head in an oven!!HIGHLY Recommend.

If you don't have an oven liner, you need one. This is the best of the best. Super easy to clean, thick, and the perfect size. You simply put it at the bottom of your oven and any time anything overflows, leaks, or falls in your oven - you just take out the oven liner. No need to clean the bottom of your oven, just clean the liner. Also, it helps immensely if something falls and starts burning in the cooking process - just pull out the liner with some oven mitts on, clean it up and stick it back in. SO EASY.

Works well on oven spills but it has burnt or melted under my bottom element the first time I used it. Cooking a pie which overflowed and the mess was very easy to clean but the corners of the mat are gone in the shape of the bottom element. Still use it as there was no flames just no more corner to the mat Will catch spillage as I usually place my pan in center of oven

It seems great but do not buy for a convection oven, as the ''wind'' in the oven will make it fly... It is not heavy enough to stay on the bottom... will give as a gift instead of keeping it.

I absolutely love it. Whoever design it, thank you! They look great and cover the bottom of the over perfectly. An spills just wipe off, and no need to scrub the oven.

Saves alot of time by you not having to clean the oven floor of spills and burned out spills.Only have to use the self clean feature once a year vs 3-4 times/year.
