Makes a boring task easier
So easy to use, lots of steam. The only issue is storage of the cable. As the iron controls the temperature you don't have to worry about the iron being too hot. The iron is nice and light.

A Ironing Game Changer!
I never thought I would be writing a review on a Steam Generator but there’s a first for everything. I’ve used a steam iron for years (well my Wife has). I’ve now taken over this job, surprisingly I find it relaxing and satisfying. This product is a game changer! Simple to use and less taxing than a heavy Steam iron. Generates lots of steam and you can iron in a fraction of the time. A great big reservoir so you don’t have to keep filling it up. I don’t know if it’s a feature on other models but a water spray would be handy although not a deal breaker. I looked at the reviews and overall this model was the best quality and value. If you haven’t already just put it in your basket. Happy Ironing!

Nearly perfect
Great iron, light weight and smooth to use. Removed creases like a dream. Tank is large so takes up space on ironing board therefore it reduces your ironing space on board and it also needs a stable base. My solution is as per photo. Slightly irritating is the noise of generator pumping water when steaming but I’m very happy with this iron. Buyers should be advised that it is recommended to use de-ionised water

Powerful and Fast Ironing with a Few Handling Tips
This steam generator iron is excellent. The constant, powerful steam makes ironing so much faster and more effective, especially on large items like quilt covers or thicker fabrics such as jeans. The ceramic plate glides beautifully and leaves everything looking crisp and smooth. One small caution — when carrying the unit, it’s easy to catch the locking mechanism, so it’s best to support it underneath. A small detail on an otherwise outstanding iron that saves a lot of time.

Absolutely brilliant BUT
Absolutely brilliant iron . I do lots of ironing and need something that is reliable and cuts through creases . This iron is fantastic it steam’s fantastically with three steam settings even the lowest setting is brilliant. It tells you when too decalc which literally involves switching the iron off for a short time restarting and the iron does the rest no more hanging it over a sink . The best steam generator I’ve ever owned and I’ve had many over the years. UPDATE ONE WEEK ON. Although I still rate this iron there is one feature I hate . After every 5 litres of water is used the descale button illuminates. You have to switch the iron off and wait until it’s completely cold in order for the iron to do the descale function . I waited over two hours and it still obviously wasn’t cold enough to perform the descale function. I searched the internet for a way of maybe overriding it but there’s nothing you have to wait so I am returning this iron for this alone . I don’t have two hours plus to wait and I do a lot of ironing so I can easily get through 5 litres of water .

Not safe to use
I bought this model this week and it seemed great, just what I wanted to replace my previous Morphy Richards that had given up the ghost. I went to try it and started to iron some jeans. The base unit slipped off the tray on the ironing board. ( I have used this ironing board with tray for years with other models of iron ) and fell onto the floor spilling water all over the place. Without thinking I grabbed it off the floor ( it was still plugged in to socket ) luckily I was not electrocuted as water and electricity are such a great combination. When I turned the base unit over to see why it had slipped off the tray, there are four holes moulded into the base for rubber anti slip pads to fit into. There were no rubber anti slip pads fitted so I contacted Morphy Richards to ask them to send me some to fit in order to make it safe. Their reply was that they do not fit rubber pads in this model. Out of curiosity I went to Curry’s to check other Morphy Richards models and they had rubber pads fitted. In order to increase profits by about 40 pence saving on rubber pads they have made this model dangerous to use as it slides about on whatever you surface you place it on. I will be returning this iron as it is unsafe to use, just to save a few coppers for profit line figures. Well done Morphy Richards.

Good iron poorly packaged
I took some time to choose a replacement when my iron failed me and was genuinely excited to get this one. When it was delivered the Box was battered and tired. Not due to delivery it was dispatched like this showing evidence of it having been previously opens. On opening I found the iron had pretty much been stuffed back in the box with much of the packaging missing and was not secured, so I was not expecting the iron to be in good condition. On reflection I should have take photos. Unwrapping the iron it was evident it had been used maybe as a demo. However I have to say it was in first class condition surprisingly. I had been waiting for the iron so had a pile of laundry to do and used it straight away. The good news is the iron works really well and I was very pleased, it is light and well made and the steam worked well at both eco and full on levels but I found steam should not be used below the cotton setting, I found it dripped a little if I used steam on a low setting. The water reservoir is a great size and very easy to remove to fill. I have not used the calc clean tray yet but it looks to be a good idea to keep the iron clean.

There is no 'off' switch!
It has a large steam capacity and irons even the toughest of materials (denim) well. But, it leaks quick a bit when in use and you are not able to switch it off manually - the iron needs to be unplugged or left unattended for a while to switch off!
