Acer C710 Chromebook (11.6" 2GB) C710-2856

Love this! Purchased as my sons first laptop and it is amazing! I enjoy using this as well size is amazing quality perfect price.....even better!!!!! Does everything I need it to do and more plus looks great doing it! Can't go wrong! I did a ton of research before committing and 3 years later I'm writing this review!!!!

It is a small screen at 11 inches, but this is one excellent laptop that is absolutely rock solid with the Chrome operating system. No more anti-virus software, or all the nonsense of Windows. It only gives a browser but that's all that I need. Everything in the browser works great, video, displays, etc.Printing is an issue in that only a wireless printer can be accessed, and Java displays (which I find are few) are not supported. I rarely ever use my Windows machine but I did get a larger 14 inch Chrome laptop for my older eyes.

Rewriting this review but I'm gonna keep the rating the same. Somehow after I wrote this review, this laptop completely changed. I've barely ever had any freezes, the videos I want to watch always loads, and I can have many different tabs open at a time with it not slowing down at all. When i first had this I would have to restart it again and again just because the whole thing would freeze. I really don't know what happened but it's a lot better now. Although I still wish it could read files and it had a DVD drive, thinking about it, the price I got it for was worth it.

I wasn't sure I was going to like a chromebook, but I'm falling in love. You open the lid and "boom" you're ready to go. It's light (weight-wise), quick, perfect for emailing, playing on facebook, cruising the web, etc, and relatively inexpensive. I would rather use the chromebook for travel than my ipad because it's just as convenient and the chromebook is less expensive to replace if something happens. In addition, I prefer using something with a built-in keyboard as I hate tapping out emails. I'm still playing with the chromebook to figure out the features but it's not that hard to get around if you're somewhat computer savvy and there are tutorials and helpful tips available...all you do is google.

i hate it with a passion,google already sucks,this chromebook is supposedly always on the latest version and software.i cannot watch my mnetflix,do school or anything,the video and everthing is slow and it never really actually loads a page correctly if at all.i will never buy another chromebook,i will never recommend a chromebook,i do not trust google.i am honestly thinking about deleting all my google accounts and sticking to Microsoft and yahoo.as well as yandex.Google search is slower than ever google chrome doesn't work its way slower than internet explorer.in my opinion google stock market is going to crash dramaticly.google company needs to shut down there business you guys are all about money and getting as much of the worlds Info.you are taking over everything.you took over youtube,what next stop you have severe privacy issues and a lot of malfunctions in everything you have put out.Give up now please. I hate you google never again will I ever use any product of yours.u lost a really good customer

You get what you pay for with this computer. I purchased this one year ago, and exactly a year later I find myself having to buy a new computer. The screen has given out and become all static-like. When the power chord is plugged in, the mouse lags. This is definitely not a computer you should use for travel purposes because the paint on the outside scratches off easily. Considering the amount of time this computer has lasted me, it was not worth the money spent. I will not be repurchasing a chromebook, and especially not from acer, because chromebooks lack many of the features which I find essential as a college student such as Microsoft office.

I was looking for something small, lightweight with not a lot of cords. This is it. I use Google for pretty much everything at work, so this is perfect if I need to continue my work at home using Google drive. As a public school speech language pathologist, that happens A LOT more than I would like. It took me a minute to get used to not having Office, but I did and it's all good. Can't beat the price. I really love it. I'm very happy with my choice.

Very nice computer! It powers up super fast. Only warning I would give to someone wanting to buy this is that it does not have windows, so you can't install office on it. However, there are apps you can download that are comparable to Microsoft Excel, word, etc. This is smaller than your average laptop so it can easily be carried in a backpack or bookbag. Very lightweight and the screen display is crystal clear.
