He knows I love trying new spices, well this one Plowboys BBQ Bovine bold is fantastic. It is a great dryrub for beef and lamb, probably for pork or chicken but I’ve only used it on beef and lamb so I can’t say for sure. As I was almost out of it, I went on a search for it, the store he bought it at had it on their website, but it was a lot of money so I googled it and found it on several sites, all more money than desertcart. I ordered it with prime, but chose the longer shipping type to get a promo for a kindle book but it came right away anyway. (I still had some left from the other bottle.) when my son had brought it home the first time I thought the smell was good, but maybe to strong,but it is perfect. I have a lot of dry rubs, several that I have gotten from desertcart but I must say this is my favorite. I have some of their other ones as well and they are also good, but this is the best. I am glad desertcart carries it. You just sprinkle it on, heavily and press it into the meat, leave it sit for as long as you want, it gets stronger the longer you leave it before cooking. I have left it on for as short as about 15 minutes and as long as 24 hours.(planned on cooking same day, but didn’t get to) it is great. I have grilled on the outside grill and on the Forman and both were great. Will be trying it on my next brisket in the slow cooker, as I think that will be fantastic as well. I recommend this seasoning to anyone who likes a great flavorful steak. Yum. Unlike some of the other Plowboy rubs, this one goes a little lighter on the salt (plenty of salt, just not as much as say the Yardbird rub), but still has plenty of flavor. The celery salt they add to the rub really sets it apart from many of the rubs in the market. It's not overpowering, but it adds so much to the final product. Every time I use this rub, it gets great reviews from all that taste it.
