## Overview

The Osprey Packs Escapist 25 Daypack is designed for the modern adventurer, featuring an external hydration sleeve, adjustable harness for a custom fit, integrated raincover for weather protection, a blinker light attachment for visibility, and a Lidlock system for secure helmet transport.

## Description

Made from top of the line materials and featuring an integrated raincover, the Escapist 25 is both bombproof and weatherproof. Anchored by a BioStretch harness and hipbelt, this low-profile pack is designed to keep the load balanced when descending rough terrain. The Airscape mesh backpanel provides ventilation when you’re grinding up the pass. Access to the main compartment comes via a convenient zippered front panel so you can see all your gear at a glance. A divider at the base of the pack provides segregated storage for stuff you want to prevent from commingling—post-ride clothing or perhaps a pair of sandals—with the rest of your gear. Additional features include a myriad of external storage options starting with three handy stretch mesh pockets—one on each side and another in the front. The hipbelt has twin zippered pockets and there’s another similar sized pocket on the shoulder strap. A zippered external front pocket keeps valuables secure and a non-scratch pocket protects your shades. The external hydration sleeve makes for easy reservoir refills. If you’re out after sunset, this pack features reflective accents and a blinker light attachment point for extra visibility.

## Features

- External hydration sleeve in backpanel simplifies refilling and protects pack content from spills
- Torso adjustable harness offers custom fit for different torso lengths
- An integrated raincover protects your gear from foul weather. It stows away in its own external pocket at the bottom of the pack.
- Blinker light attachment allows for quick light attachment so you can be seen in the dark
- Lidlock helmet attachment system quickly secures helmet for transport while not in use

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re a outdoorsy person or just want a great quality daypack

*by K***D on February 11, 2018*

This day pack has a wide range of uses and is primarily geared for any outdoor task you may have. From backpacking, to rock-climbing, traveling and it even performs as a school bag. If you’re a outdoorsy person or just want a great quality daypack, this might be the pack for you!Carry capacityOne thing I can say for this pack, it amazes me on how much it can fit with in it. I am a college student that enjoys rock climbing on the side, and I have been using this bag for about a year now. I have jammed a sixty-meter rope inside plus two harnesses, several carabiners and even some quick draws and to top it off a helmet. For only a twenty-five-liter day pack you couldn’t ask for anything more. Moving on to the student life, I co-use this pack as a backpack for books. Again it never seems to let me down, it has several small pockets for items such pencils keys or even calculator. In addition It has one large pocket that will fit all my books. Although it doesn’t have anything to divide that large pocket to make organization easier. This pack wasn't designed for one and isn’t a problem if you place things in a convenient location. To top it off, if you plan to travel with this bag I’m able to fit an entire weeks’ worth of clothing with in.Design and DurabilityMoving onto Design and durability, normally in any pack if you want something that’s durable, it’s going to weigh more. But this pack does a great job at keep this weight down and comes in at 2.25lbs for a M/L size. The pack’s, waist belt shines through when you load this pack to the max, by placing the weight on your hips and taking the load off your back . Although this pack does have a few areas of weakness, such as outside mesh elastic pocket, but I have yet to damage it. Moving to the design of the pack, the back plate that makes contacts with your back may be the best I’ve ever worn. It allows ample airflow to cool your back and it forms around your back, to make it extremely comfortable. Where other padded back plates lock in the heat and feel like a solid plate against you. Now considering all I’ve thrown at this pack and the amount of weight it has carried, it has yet to show any signs of wear and tear and has proved its durability.CostNow considering all the positives and few negative I have for this day pack, the driving home nail for most, is the cost. Now, this pack for average user might not be justified at $120 USD, but if you need a daypack that you can reliably take anywhere and need it to handle any condition and be comfortable as well. Then I wholeheartedly recommend this day pack for this price and hope it impresses you, as much as it did myself.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great pack overall and holds more than I expected

*by B***J on March 20, 2016*

Great pack overall and holds more than I expected. Purchased it for day hikes but broke it in at Universal Studios. Was able to carry sweatshirts and foldable jackets for (2) adults and (2) kids along with a bunch of snacks for the day. We did use the built-in rain cover on a water ride and it worked perfectly. Even when fully loaded, it was very comfortable riding on the hips and felt weightless. The vented back was also helpful in avoiding the inevitable "back sweat" you can get in warmer weather. My only compliant is that the shoulder pouch on the strap is useless and would be better not having anything there at all. It was designed for a smart phone but definitely not any of the larger smart phones currently on the market. Perhaps if this was a stretchy fabric it would have been more useful.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for bike commuting.

*by T***N on January 18, 2017*

I love all the little things about this pack (adjustable straps all over, helmet lock, bottom pocket, rain cover, blinky light strap, etc.) So far it has been a fantastic purchase. I use it as a bike commuting back and it is the perfect size. NOTE: the S/M is slightly smaller in volume (2L) than the M/L. I got the S/M which is about perfect for my needs. One criticism is I wished they reinforced the bottom of the back with a thicker material since I like to sit my bags upright when I place it down. I also wish they didn't put the reflective strips on the bottom since I always place my bag down and worry of premature wear on the reflective strips (I know...sounds silly). Although I use it for commuting, I wish Osprey had designed a slightly better pen holder in the middle pocket.
