I have asthma, which is pretty well controlled with Flovent (cortico-steroid). I thought I would start with the Breathe formula, and if I have success, to maybe transition to the My Community formula. Twenty-four hours after first taking this, I suddenly realized that the air I was breathing felt cold and clean, as though I was on top of the Alps (without the effects of elevation). Several days later, I still feel that way about every breath. I live in a fairly remote place with good air quality, but this is amazing! It's as though I'm on oxygen. I can take deep breaths, and they feel so full of oxygen. Now, am I feeling energetic, and like Superman? No... When I lived at higher elevation, I used an oxygen concentrator at night, and I remember that they said it could take three weeks to feel the effects. So maybe in a couple of weeks I'll be throwing bags of dog food around, but right now I'm just enjoying some deep breathing. UPDATE: It has been about three weeks now and I am still amazed by the deep deep breaths I am able to take. But amazingly, I have noticed that I am often not hungry and I have lost several pounds. I am eating 1 1/2 to 2 meals a day with no feelings of hunger. This is not deliberate on my part, and I certainly would not call this a weight-loss product. I think I am just not trying to "pick myself up" with food. My sister says she has heard of new C-PAP users having the same result. Just sayin".

These actually really make a difference in the inflammation in my airways! As someone who has been dealing with sinus and lung in inflammation for most of my life, this has been a game changer.

Updated Aug 2022: I’ve now been using this product daily for four and a half years. I’ve been able to stop my Symbicort (3.5 years ago) and I nearly never need my rescue inhaler anymore. While I’ve had a sinus infection and a few allergy flare-ups, I haven’t had the wretched bronchitis I used to get every year (knock on wood). I’ve even managed to avoid Covid so far (again, knock on wood). I’ve never had a quality issue and the prices remain fair for the results delivered. Still 100% recommend! Original review October 2018: I've used and reordered this product now for 6+ months. I find that I'm breathing easier and that my endurance has improved on my long distance runs. An added benefit is that (knock on wood) I've stayed healthy and have not gotten sick this year, even when colds and respiratory bugs have been going around. No adverse side effects; always well packaged and sealed. (I've also ordered Chaga and Lion's Mane by Host Defense and have been very happy with the blend and company.) 5 enthusiastic stars.

I absolutely love this product. And here's why. About seven years ago I stopped smoking. Yay! Unfortunately, smoking had done a job on my lungs and while I do not have emphysema or COPD I found myself sometimes having trouble taking deep breaths. Enter Breathe. I was already familiar with Host Defense and was taking Cordyceps from another trusted company so I knew the benefit of Cordyceps. However, what Paul Stamets has done is paired several, unique mushrooms know for their ability to strengthen and heal, and combined them into this unique formula. I actually started out with the extract version of this same product and I'm glad I did because that one gets into the bloodstream a bit faster. And as a result of taking that product for around ten days I was hooked. Now, I not only have more energy but I can ride my bike for miles and find that my lungs are working normally. Mushrooms are very close in nature to us. And, as adaptogens, they determine exactly what we need and where it is needed and they direct their energy and focus on the problem. So, now that I'm taking the pills I actually do like them a bit more because they seem to last longer in my body. But I am noticing the long term effects of taking this product. The longer you take it, the better your lungs feel. And now I wake up in the morning and I feel amazing. And that's a testament to the research and dedication of Mr. Stamets. So thank you sir. You have given me my life back.
