Works great for muscle aches, caused either by illness (because flus and colds cause pesky muscle aches) or hard labor or being rear ended by a car (I had some mild whiplash years ago and it really helped with the sore neck--I had to do 2-3 scoops a day for a few days and it cleared up pretty quickly)! I've used this for about 10 years...but not consistently, just when I needed it. It's best mixed with orange juice because the flavor of the powder seems a little bitter (it's very slight, but I'm sensitive to it) and from experience, doesn't taste so great in straight water. It's doable, just hold your breath, and drink fast. I wouldn't say it dissolves, exactly; more like it's so incredibly fine that it suspends well in liquid. I've done as many as three scoops in about 8 ounces of juice and it sort of turns the juice a little sandy/gritty...like you've just dumped a bunch of really fine powder in your juice, haha. There's usually a little at the bottom of the glass, so you have to add more liquid anyway. So if you're taking more than 1 tsp at a time (it's safe to do so, they just recommend 1), have more juice/water with it! I've tried adding it to my dinner, like in a soup, to get around having to drink yet another thing, but it flavored it a little oddly, so it's probably best tried on a strongly flavored stew/soup, where all the other seasoning would overpower it. If you're not sure if this will work for you, the smallest container is definitely nice because it gives you about 20 doses, which is just under a month's worth. At $10, it's great for a new user that isn't sure if it'll work or not!

Since adding this to my supplements I've seen so much progress in my recovery time. I'm usually unbearably sore after my sessions especially that two-day window. I could barely get out of bed but after I began to add this to my pre workout and my protein shakes after training I noticed my soreness has decreased more than significantly. I still feel the burn. But its sweet. And I'm ready to train again sooner. Absolutely a must have for any athlete or gym rat. THE ONLY CON is the size. The bottle is pretty tiny so I will be looking for a larger one maybe from another brand.

One of the best quality L-Glutamine supplement. With the serving size package and price point, this will be a great addition to your fitness training as i's core benefit is to help with recovery. To maximize it, take it after workout along with your post-workout protein shake. Depending on your budget, you could also add a serving in before bed.

High quality of glutamine. I also recommend trying their Vanilla whey protein powder.

I've been using Glutamine supplements for a while now, and find it makes a real difference in my recovery time, especially as I get older. This particular type is good quality and mixes relatively well (glutamine does not, in general, suspend well in a water solution). As a particular bonus to buying from DNC, you get great customer service. My order was delayed due to supply issues, and I was really impressed with how the DNC folks contacted me via phone and email to advise me of the delay. They included some very generous samples in the box when it finally arrived to compensate me for the trouble. The customer service was first-rate and I'll go out of my way to buy from them in the future.

I take this with my prework out so I cannot attest for the taste or performance. I'm someone that like to see scientific results and there isn't too much backing this stuff up but psychologically it may work. I started taking this about 4 months in to my working out regime. I did notice less soreness but could just be my workout regime has not been intense enough. Overall I would recommend it as an affordable supplement.
