Cold Air Intake

I put it on a 2016 F150 5.0L, I don’t hear a whistle. Tbf I have tinnitus lol. It woke the truck up, 12hp ish. Exhaust sounds better and throttle response is better. Gives a bit of rumble under your feet too. All around great if you’re looking for something to change your exhaust note deeper, add power, or just want it to look sporty. Lol Installation is super easy. Even with the instructions looking like dirty dog water, you can figure it out with a little mechanical knowledge or YouTube it. Edit: Had for a couple months now. For a few days I heard the whistle but now I can only hear it faintly if I’m listening for it. It’s quieter than the ac. Extremely happy with my purchase!

The kit was so easy to install and the sound when you get on the throttle is fantastic!

the install is really easy and adds extra sound when on the gas the only thing is it is not completely tight sitting in the air box bottom you have to use from your stock stuff it wiggles just a little but it’s not gonna affect anything I would definitely recommend this if you want a little more power and sound

So like a lot of other people that have reviewed this product, it arrives scratched on one end for some reason, and it is a little difficult to get the PVC hose hooked in, but it does go in. Overall for the price, you get what you pay for. If you spend $130 on this versus $350 on another CAI, you know the quality is not going to be as good. The air filter box had the tabs slightly bent, so I had to bend those back in place, and when I placed it on the vehicle, it was a very loose fit. I took it back off bent the tabs up slightly higher to grab the box a little better, and that fixed the problem. Again you're buying a cheaper product that's going to require some extra work to make it work right. Don't complain about the cheapness of it when you know you didn't spend that much money on it. So far I like the new growl, and the boost in horsepower. If everything was perfect on it it would have gotten five stars.

Had a broken vacuum line hose fitting on my factory ford intake hose on my 2017 F150 with the 5.0. Instead of buying a new plastic hose from Ford for around $100, I decided to source a metal intake instead to try and avoid this issue in the future. Found this Rough Country intake for around $130 and decided to try it out. Install was fairly easy and took me around 45 min to do with very basic hand tools. Vacuum hoses fit no problem and has a nice grumble to it as an added bonus. Would purchase again!

Zero stars product was damaged when I received it.i put it on and it whistled the hole time and it put a strain on the motor.It should be called a HOT AIR INTAKE.i have returned it.Never again

Cons Finish isn’t great on the pipe, and inside of the pipe is rough and oversprayed. Also the clamps are worthless. One was locked up out of the box and snapped when I tried to work it free. RC customer kindly showed me where to buy a new one instead of replacing it for me. Pros Cheaper than other setups. Great throttle noise. If I had to do it again, I would buy something else. Attention to detail is missing. Same for customer service. This is first RC product.
