LE CREUSET 9403657000001 Lid Knob SIG Copper 5.7 cm Cast Iron

A perfect fit and looks good. Bought to replace the broken bakelite knob. It seems much more robust than the previous one - it is more than twice the price of others, but definitely worth it.

Bought this to replace an original knob of a round casserole dish which gradually disintegrated over many many years of use. This metallic knob looks like it won't suffer the same problems of disintegrating over time as it's solid metal. Looks high quality and had no problems in a high temperature oven. It's expensive for what it is like all Le Creuset items but worth saving the casserole dish. I recommend this knob as a replacement as it is good quality and looks good. Fixing screw is short at about 1cm but that was perfect for the dish I had. Looks way better than the original black knob too.

It amazing just how much difference replacing the old Le Crueset knob has made to lifting off the weighty lid. In the hand thge old know was somewhat smaller and harder to grip, but this new shiny metallic knob provides a much more secure and comfortable grip. Expensive perhaps, but I see that my 15+ year old Le Crueset pot is now costing somewhere around £280 so a. £20 something knob is little to pay for a casserole pot that is that old and in near constant use.

Invested in this a while ago as a replacement for the original plastic knob that mysteriously broke off after a number of years of hard labour. It feels well made, fits perfectly, and certainly seems to tolerate high oven temperatures. It is very expensive for what is really quite a basic component, but I do expect it to last.

There may be cheaper alternatives, but I think this worth the money as it looks really nice on our large Le Creuset casserole which we use often. Also it can be used when wearing oven gloves which is very convenient.

Looks great on my casserole dish…. Not the cheapest like, but then neither were the pans!!!!

Mine broke on my old casserole (which was plastic), so i decided to give this a go. It works as intended, withstands heat properly, however it gets the discolouration after first use over 200 degrees celsius. Also absolutely horrible value for money.

My dutch oven is mostly being used for sourdough and the black handle I had on it broke. Probably due to high temperatures. I therefore thought it best to replace it with a metal handle and this was really easy to replace and fit.

Expensive but quality, stainless steel, oven proof and a good comfortable grip when handling the lid.
