I still do not have right size for our area this goes into, but using them anyways long ways and just changed one a few hours ago and it was so dirty. It has only been exactly a month since the last change and I almost feel like this long ways is really catching the dirt in the air. So sent back size. I thought was right then ordered these yet will get ones so no gap on the one side like it is now about maybe 2 inches yet not making much difference and being told wrong size so got my own measuring tape to use to get the right size next time. Got 6 so have a ways to go before ordering again. I now have 3 left and very happy to get this dirt out of our air that shows up brown on the filters plus the allergy, bacteria and virus plus pet dander away from me. Quality is very great in that they work for my allergies and I knew when I read the description it was the best one for my needs. I bended it in half to throw away and since it is of good quality it was a little harder to bend than others I have had before. Easy to install just not way I expected it to work yet it is wonderful clean air to breathe.

This is the real MERV13, I have tried other third party ones and they never clear my homes air as good. These make my allergies SIGNIFICANTLY better, my skin itches less, eye water less, and the whole household can tell. Spend the extra money for your health. A grade product at this time. 11/19/25

Excellent filter. I work in HVAC and work with multiple types of filters. In my opinion this is the best you can buy in the 1 inch category. It fits snuggly into the filter grills, not allowing any air to pass on the sides. Not so snuggly you have to squish it to get it into place though. It doesn’t bounce up and down as the system fan cycles. The extra pleats allow for a significantly lower static pressure which preserves the life of the blower motor but also allows for greater airflow while still filtering properly. We recently had a rain storm and my roof caved in. The filter turned completely black. I thought this was due to the excess moisture in the air, but turned out when the roof came in I had a lot of black mold. I believe the blackness in the filter was actually the mold spores. I’ve never seen a filter go black within a couple of hours before. I change my filter every 2 months, and my fan cycles for about 30 min. every hour. This helps clean the air in the home in a big way. Combine this with an Air Scrubber which uses a mixture of UV light and a honeycomb matrix, and you will have hospital quality air, as well as a very sanitized home. The investment is high with these filters, but replacing your HVAC system is even higher, I very much recommend these amazing filters and will use nothing less until I switch to a 5 inch filter solution.

After doing research on MERV values and wondering why the Filtrete basic filters I was buying kept bending up into my return, I found out that the MPR 1900 Filtrete actually has less restriction than any of their other filters. The number of pleats on these are more than average, thus more surface area, allowing more air to flow. Not only is the filtration better, but they are less restrictive. They are expensive, but worth it.

I use for my AC to cut down on dust. I live right beside a busy street and the dust from the road is tremendous. This does seem to cut down on the dust. I have not noticed that they reduce smells from smoke, as when we have fires close the smell comes through loud and clear. I do notice that I still sneeze when there is dust around and it hasn't stopped that. That being said, these are much better than the MERV 12. I wish it stopped the cigarette smell from people sitting in their back yards smoking, that comes through, and it is awful.

I use these to keep the dust in the house down. We used to dust every few days out of disgust from the thick coating of dust that would accumulate in that time on our furniture and other surfaces. Now we do it out of habit only every other week. With pets I’m sure it would be more often, but it’s just us.
