The only place that even offered over-the-ankle hiking boots for women was REI but I cannot spend $150+ on a pair of hiking boots right now. So I turned to the internet. I love the way these boots look, they're fairly stiff so they protect my toes well, and they're pretty good at keeping water out as well. Unfortunately they aren't the most comfortable boots. They're a little too stiff; especially in the back. The entirety of the back shreds my heel. I've worn them on three different hikes hoping to soften them up but so far nothing has changed; I have to wear two thick pairs of hiking socks in order to give my heels some relief. And these boots fit correctly so I know this is not due to my foot having too much/too little space. I will attempt to soften the back of these boots with some sort of cushion/moleskin lining but they really shouldn't be this painful to begin with. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect hiking boots!! *by J***. on June 1, 2017* Awesome hiking boots!! The heels are thick so you can step on anything and not feel it. The color looks so cute! I got the sand and pink boots and honestly they are the cutest hiking boots I've ever seen. I've been hiking in them and they are exactly what I wanted as well as comfortable. Perfect combination of comfy and cute! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cute around town, great deal, and hiked a 10k over rocks in the mountains *by L***A on April 3, 2018* I got these for a 9 day trip to Spain. My boys wanted to do a hike or two, but we were packing light and not checking bags, so I needed them to work well but also be cute for touristy stuff. I was sacrificing bringing nice leather brown booties for these, so I wanted to like them. I got them and wore them around the house a couple times before the trip, but that's it. I got a size 8 and they were true to size and were fine with thick hiking socks too. I wore them on a 10k hike in the mountains over rocks and in the forest. No hot spots on my feet at all. I also wore them on a 12 hour day, standing and walking, and standing again on an hour long train back from Montserrat. My feet were tired but free of issues. Seriously impressed by these boots and the price was great. Also, I just liked wearing them around town too.
