I installed this kit on a 2003 Civic EX. It was very complete and well packaged. I would highly recommend this kit over paying way more at the stealership. I compared the head gasket to other high end gaskets I have the shop. Looks, smells and works just the same.

The intake manifold gasket did not have the hold drilled in it for the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) ports, so I had to take the entire intake back off the car after replacing the head gasket and drill a hole in it to make it work without buying another one. After drilling the new hole in it, I found the intake gasket leaks as well as the throttle body gasket.It will cause the check engine light to come on with the code P0401 "Insufficient EGR Flow" and the cars idle may be shaky. After drilling the new hole it cause the codes p0505 and p1505 to come on because of the vacuum leak.Also, the seal at the end of the cam does not fit properly so it leaks oil out.

This set was great for the price. For sixty bucks we got everything we needed to fix the head gasket on my honda. You can't go wrong with buying this.

I am displeased with this gasket kit. For those thinking of ordering this, please note; I was unable to install the head gasket, the primary reason for ordering this. The guide pins for the cylinder head would not clear the gasket. It would have had to have been ground out for it to clear, which I'm not about to do. I had to purchase an entirely new head gasket and valve cover gasket as it allowed oil to pass through it down onto the block.Not certain yet, but I believe the air intake manifold gasket is leaking as well as I have a giant vacuum leak.

Worked great to replace head gasket on 2003 Honda Civic Coupe EX 1.7L. I only used a few of the provided gaskets, but it was nice knowing that they were all there in case they were needed.It solved the case of the mysterious disappearing coolant (tricky head gasket leak).
