Heavy duty
This thing is seriously heavy duty. It’s heavy and seems to be well made. It does a good job on getting the tortillas thin enough and is easy to press.

Good tortilla press!
Easy to assemble, works well, definitely easier and faster than rolling out my tortillas! Heavy and strong.

Excellent for corn tortillas but flour tortillas come out too thick, better as a pita bread press
This 10” press is big and heavy and does a great job on corn tortillas with very minimal effort. I wasn’t as impressed with flour tortillas though, they just don’t get thin enough, they are more like pita bread and it works great for that. I did get the 10” so I could make thin flour tortillas, so I was a little disappointed. You can get them round with this press but you will still have to hand roll them to get the gossamer wing thin tortillas like at the taqueria. For corn tortillas, I found that I can get more uniform rounds and make them much faster using a small ice cream disher style scoop. They come out perfectly round and the flat side keeps them in place better, way more efficient then making a million little uneven balls. Your dough must be soft and pliable, many recipes I tried were way to dry and crumbly and required a lot more water, so be sure the dough is moist. This works with very minimal effort, you don’t have to put all your weight on the handle, just a gentle but firm press that’s it. This has a painted enamel like finish on cast iron so it won’t rust. It will chip away where the handle presses the outside of the plate, no big deal, just a little missing paint in a tiny spot. Also, expect quite a bit of play side to side where the handle bolts through but it doesn’t seem to matter and they all seem to do that. I do like this press, I’m still glad I got the 10” even though it doesn’t make thin flour tortillas because we do make a lot of flat bread and pitas and it’s great for that. This one is made in China, not Mexico.

Amazing Quality Product
This thing is gorgeous! Truly…it has a beautifully done protective surface over it that appears to prevent any possibility for rust to form. The pictures don’t do it justice. At all. Honestly, I’ve lived in Mexico before. I’m not being critical, but I have to say that I’ve rarely seen this level of quality in anything I’ve purchased there before. It is heavy, but it’s also very strong…appears to be very durable. It came with an extra set of bolts as a backup. Don’t expect to need them for a very long time, if ever. So far, I’ve made two batches of sourdough flour tortillas on it, and it’s worked beautifully. It’s very important to allow the balls of dough to rest before pressing. That lets the press do its job. It came with perfectly sized parchment paper. I rotated it around so that each side got the same amount of pressure. No complaints here, at all. I haven’t tried corn tortillas yet, but will soon. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t love it!

Decent
This is made of solid material and feels really sturdy. It gets the job done and helped me make some pretty decent tortillas. If you’re interested in trying one, I’d definitely recommend it especially since the price isn’t bad at all

No regrets!
I've recently decided to start cooking more from scratch because it's an healthier option to all the prepared foods with additives I can't pronounce. Decided to try the tortilla recipe I've had for 30 years, wasn't bad but the rolling process was a bit much and time consuming. Decided there had to be an easier way so started searching and found this. BEST PURCHASE EVER! I had a dozen corn tortillas rolled out and ready to cook in minutes, so much easier then a rolling pin. I'm so happy with this I'll be buying a larger one for flour tortillas soon. If you're looking to make things a little easier you won't regret this purchase. Bonus is it's very sturdy and easy to clean, just wipe it down.
