Not an amateur, but the instructions are a bit vague when it comes to installing it. Got this for our bathroom wall (to tile over). When you're going to tile around this niche insert, make sure you understand where this sits in the wall sandwich.The back of this is not structured, so make sure that the back is supported by either the adjacent wall, or more backerboard to keep it from bowing backwards when installing it.

I'm happy with how this product looks after hiring a contractor to refresh and re-tile my shower. I recommend measuring all the bottles you think you'll use to see if this tall/short configuration will meet your needs. These come in more than one configuration, so pick what you want.

This niche is the perfect size to hold my hair products. Using the niche in my newly tiled shower makes the shower even more stylish.

I wanted to like this niche really bad, unfortunately the beveled edges made it difficult to place the tile around edges.

Nice size. Package was mailed in a sturdy box and arrived on time. Easy for DIY project.
