For someone with home invasion anxiety, this is a lifesaver. Works perfectly on my apartment door for some extra security and peace of mind. Install is very easy and we tested it by having me lock up with this inside and my husband try to unlock and open the door from the outside. He couldn't get in! Makes me feel safe that maintenance workers, landlord, etc. can't come in while I'm home alone or at night. Obviously in the case of an emergency you could still open the door with enough force, but you'd be very aware someone was coming in! I also have a small camera pointed at my front door and I love that you can see this device clearly, meaning it's working! We use it on the hole for our deadlock because the bolt goes through the hole and stabilizes it. Looking forward to trying it on a hotel door as well once all this covid stuff is over!

When these fit your door they work well. Pretty unpleasant lying awake in bed in the middle of the night and someone tries to open your bedroom door. Cops and their girlfriends run stalking campaigns where I live. Best to barricade the door with things that rattle because that tends to deter more visits unless your stalkers are actually murderers. Police and military students prefer to kill slowly through stress and fear

My friend is going out for a trip recently. For her safety ,we always hear some terrible things, I bought it to her. We practiced a few times, it was great, and when it was in place, the door could not be opened. Even if someone try to enter into, they will make a lot of noise，enough for her to react .It is light and easy to install. I know that nothing is 100% safe, but it safer than locks and chains, also gives us a great sense of security and comfort. Thank you.

There are some doors this doesn’t work on due to lack of clearance between the door and the jamb but it works great on the doors it fits.

Tried it at home and easy to use. Will use it for my Hawaiian travels in a month.

Easy to use but it did not fit in any of the hotel room doors we tried it on. We were only able to get it to fit the doors in our home. I feel like it would deter someone, but is not sturdy enough to stop a person that is really motivated to get into a roomUpdate: I have tried these on 20+ hotel doors and 2 different cruise line doors and it worked on 2 hotel doors and doors on our Norwegian cruise and that is it. Works on standard home doors so if you’re in an Airbnb or VRBO then it’s great.

We went on vacation and we were staying at a vacation home that we had never been to. As a form of security, I looked for portable door locks that could be temporarily used in a home to provide extra security. This product is exceptional! I purchased two of these figuring I may need to use them on a front and back door. When we arrived at our stay, there was one door in the back that we had to use as the owner left only one key that fit that door. There were 3 doors to the place. I was able to install one of these on what I call the front door and lock the door. I left that lock on the door for our entire stay. The other door we did not go through had a screen door that could be locked so we did, and had a deadbolt, handle lock, and chain - so we locked all of those. At night, we were able to install the lock on the door we used in addition to locking the storm door. The locks are old locks but the key looks like you could make a duplicate of it. Since we had no idea whether someone who would have stayed before would have done that, we installed the lock when we came back to our place. It would be nice to have a similar product such as this that would have a key lock on it so that when you go out, you could install it and lock it so you know no one could enter through the doors. There is a product online that covers the door handle and locks but this would not work with this particular door as the lock is a deadbolt lock with no handle and the handle is like an 1860s glass handle.Want you to know I bought two more so now I have 4 and I would never go anywhere without them. They are exceptional!!!!!!

I was skeptical but it worked like a charm. I read in reviews that the resort I was going to didn't have the standard hotel safety latches which keeps out people with a key. Sure enough the door didn't have one. I like to sleep late and did not want house keeping barging in on me. Took some practice getting the hang of it at home first then I was able to pop it right on the hotel door, no problem! Felt safe at night the whole trip. The door could not be opened even when the card key was swiped and the door unlocked, the door would not open!*Extra Tip* Airport security flagged my bag with it in it. It was the metal. If inside your carry on, put it in one of your outside zippered pockets so you can pull it out for TSA quickly if you get flagged for mental.
