How the Body Works: A Comprehensive Illustrated Encyclopedia of Anatomy Paperback – Illustrated, July 1, 2016

This book has everything from how the ear works to information about RNA and DNA. It also has a section about the reproductive system (male and female) that gives facts and respectable animated photos. If someone is looking for a book for their teenager that is interested in all different kinds of Science related subjects, this is the book! I found that the reproductive sections are more informative and 'grown up' than a lot of the puberty books out there. Would definitely recommend this book for any age.

While reading a review on "The Atlas of The Human Body" here on Amazon; I came across a review on "How The Body Works" which is by the same author, Dr. Peter Abrahams. I decided to take a chance on one of the sellers and bought it used. The book arrived super fast, well packaged and in great condition! It is a thicker and heavier paperback (the atlas book is much thinner) but I believe that the material in both books is exactly the same; having already seen the atlas at a local book store. Both books are full of pictures and great descriptions for each body system. This is an awesome book! Although not as in depth as a medical student would probably need; it works for the rest of us. I love Amazon.com! And I'm glad I can find the books I need (and want) used from different sellers at great prices, and in very good condition. So far I have not been dissappointed with any of my used book purchases :)

A very comprehen6but easy to understand read. I use this to supplement my daughters home schooling curriculum and she loves it.

This book is the best clear language guide for the body that I have found.

I bought this as a quick review reference. It covers all the body organ systems in discrete chapters. 512 pages with full color diagrams on every page. A mountain of well organized information. This tome is just 12 dollars. Unbelievable !

Very helpful, pictures are great

This book is very interesting. It has a lot more information about the human body than I even expected. Some pictures, definitely pictures that are older, but quite informative book. Includes information on how caffeine effects the brain, how the retina works, information on joints, etc. Very cool book for a great price!

value for money

tells you everything you need to know, technical but not too highbrow. illustrations are shown in great detail. would definitely recommend.
