Natural Remedy
Very good for helping regulate stomach and bowel upsets ...,,works very fast in binding up loose stools but naturally instead of using drugs long term which as soon as you stop taking symptoms return. This is a pure source with no additives to irritate your digestive system and I have found it to be very effective both in cost and ease of use.... Some products advertising as arrowroot ARE NOT!!!! They are just ground tapioca which whilst can act as a thickener( Starch ) in food preparations such as sauces and cake mixes do not have any medicinal properties. I can recommend this product as being highly effective medicinally ....buy with confidence it works.

Great Gluten Free Arrowroot powder
I use arrowroot both in cooking and in cosmetics and I need mine to be gluten free as I am one of those few people that actually has a medical allergy to gluten. However there is a growing trend for people to avoid gluten for other reasons and as such people have become more aware of these issues - that almost everything from rice crispies to oats to pasta sauce has gluten in - madness. Arrowroot is often used as a substitute for corn starch ( that also being a high source fo gluten - cornflour int he UK is often made with wheat added) and for some reason arrowroot is always more expensive than corn starch / cornflour. I use it in home made deoderant - I know it sounds strange, but when you have stupid allergies even a simple bottle of deoderant is a minefield of ouchiness, and some time ago they stopped making the one and only I could find that did not bring me out in a rash, so thanks to google found multiple recipies for home made deoderant, and the common ingredient was corn starch / cornflour with a few substituting for arrowroot powder. If you have a bored wet weekend - have a go, it takes minutes to make and for me, I am finding it works rather well. So - for all its many uses - I wanted a larger pack of arrowroot and it really did need to be gluten free - which this is. Now if only they could make it organic, even my sister might try it.

Arrowroot powder is the best .
Arrowroot powder is the best alternative to corn starch, it's gluten free. I use it to make chicken curry soup, makes it thick and delicious and it's healthy too .

EXCELLENT THICKENING AGENT
I purchased this product for its supposed ant-inflammatory properties. My main use has been as a thickening agent when making gravy, soups and stews. I previously used cornflour for this. However you only need a fraction of arrowroot as opposed to cornflour. So it lasts quite awhile.
