Not every transition is perfect and the sageo it came with could have been nicer. Although it was supposed to be modeled after the fittings guidelines used by imperial body guards so maybe that is the reasoning. But other than that this is a very well put to gather well balanced blade that came sharp enough to shave with! It is the sharpest katana I own. I have only cut pool noodles with it and the box it came in . But everything I have cut so far it has moved through with zero effort !
