This residue-free formula enhances wiper blade performance and restores clarity to glass and clear plastics, making it an essential prep step for Rain-X Original Treatment. ## Description

Rain-X Original Glass Water Repellent treats exterior auto glass with a super-slick, non-stick invisible barrier that repels rain, sleet and snow on contact, so water beads up and blows away at driving speed instead of sheeting across your line of sight. The result is dramatically improved all-weather visibility, safety and driving comfort, on the windshield and on the side windows, rear glass and mirrors your wipers never touch. Application takes minutes: clean and dry the glass, work in temperatures above 40 F, apply Rain-X to a folded dry cloth, wipe onto the glass in firm overlapping circles, let the slight haze form, reapply for uniform coverage, then buff clear with a dry cloth.

## Features

- The Invisible Windshield Wiper: The original Rain-X glass water repellent is a wipe-on treatment that applies an invisible barrier to exterior auto glass that repels rain and improves safety during storms
- Repels Rain, Sleet and Snow: The super-slick, non-stick barrier ensures droplets bead up and roll off windshield, improving all-weather visibility, safety and driving comfort
- Treats More Than the Windshield: Use it on side windows, rear glass and exterior mirrors so your whole field of view sheds water, not just the area your wipers can physically reach
- Ideal for All Drivers: A seasonal must for commuters, truck drivers, delivery routes and anyone heading into a rainy or snowy stretch who wants a clearer view when driving through storms
- Wipe On, Buff Off: Wipe the windshield treatment onto exterior glass with a folded dry cloth using firm overlapping circles, let the haze form, then buff clear with a dry cloth for a water repellent layer that lasts up to 6 months

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How often does Rain-X need to be reapplied?**
A: Degrades much quicker if you park in the sun during the day. Our garaged vehicle can be applied twice/year and it's fine. Typically don't even use wipers when it rains, which makes it last longer. Car in the sun apply 3-4 times/year, depending...live in northern climate so apply right before winter, and it helps with ice/etc removal, but too cold to reapply until spring.

**Q: Approximately how many applications is this bottle (7 oz.) good for?**
A: Of course it depends on size of windshield, but in my experience with a Toyota 4runner and an Infiniti g35x a full bottle of rainx will generally give 15-20 complete windshield applications

**Q: Has anybody tried this on a (plastic) motorcycle visor? Does it work?**
A: Good question, my friend has tried applying it to a motorcycle as you described and his experience was a bad one. He said it took forever to buff off and even then there was a slight haze that remained. Would caution before doing.

**Q: How is this stuff applied? with a cloth like a wax?**
A: I used a normal rag (old T-shirt) to apply, you deff, don't want to get too much on your hands, smells like heavy chemicals, Polyurethane base it seems.. it is a liquid not a wax very runny
