### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Superb Bottle Holder
*by on Reviewed in the United States May 19, 2015*

Pro:*Extremely strong fabric material. It will not scuff or tear with moderate to heavy usage.*Moderately waterproof: I would be comfortable taking this into a rainstorm, but pockets would experience dampness after a few hours (may effect items very sensitive to humidity).*Compatible with Molle system and has plenty of mesh for attaching to other packs in various configurations. My personal choice is a Condor II backpack with one of these holders on either side to dramatically increase storage potential.* Very spacious in the center pocket - enough for either (1) a rather large water bottle, (2) a PC laptop power supply (brick) and attachment cords, (3) some small cans of food (ex. tuna or chicken sized) or (4) similar sized items.*Inner lining of the largest pocket has a small amount of padding for protecting somewhat fragile items.*Outer pocket fits my wallet, cell phone, and a few small items very well but could hold more.*When attached properly with TacTies there seems to be no possibility of the mesh accidentally breaking or fraying through rugged use.Con:* Largest pocket is padded, but it doesn't do an excellent job insulating water bottles. Don't expect glacial water on your hike or walk to college.* Top horizontal zipper is difficult to close, especially when the fabric is still new and very stiff. After several months, it becomes easier but requires two hands.* When loaded down with heavy items the holder will tend to sway when attached to other bags/containers via the Molle strap system.* Difficult to attach to Maxpedition backpacks with the suggested TacTies - small pair of pliers strongly recommended to make this easier.Like many Maxpedition products, it's "Pros" significantly outweigh it's "Cons".Overall, a very nice bottle holder that has served me well.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Water Bottle Holder
*by on Reviewed in the United States October 27, 2025*

This fits my 38 oz Stainless Nalgene inside a nesting cup for a great 2 vessel boiling capability. Also I carry a Grayl filtering system so with this attached to my day pack via molle straps I am capable of purifying and carrying a decent amount of water. .

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Zipper on top is a pain
*by on Reviewed in the United States October 8, 2015*

It's a nice size. Fits a standard 1L Camelback Eddy or 1L Nalgene bottle well, but not the rarer tall 1L Camelback bottle. It is made of very heavy material... Almost a little too stiff and heavy. Hard to manipulate... and the zipper action at the top... Bad! Very bad. The material is stiff and the zipper catches and is a major pain. Not smooth and barely manageable. The side pocket is nice. Overall it will work and likely hold up, but it's not great. The top zipper needs a redesign badly! It has MOLLE webbing, an additional pocket, a back clip, and D-rings for a strap. The zipper can be a pain. This is better as a stand-alone detachable bottle holder with a shoulder strap and few accessories for a short walk and will also attach to a pack well with some additional straps. (note: it will fit a 1L Nalgene and 1L Camelback Eddy (snugly) but won't fit the rarer taller, thinner 1L Camelback well.It compares with Camelback's Bottle Holder....This is a really nice, basic bottle holder. It will fit a 1L Camelback bottle (Both the Eddy and the taller one). It will also fit a 1L Nalgene narrow or fatmouth bottle. It's a simple slip in with MOLLE on the back, with snaps for immediate connecting to something else. There is no strap holder. The zipper works great. The material/padding is thick but not stiff. It's probably ideal for attaching to a pack as an add on.See pics for a side by side comparison of all....Depends on what you are going for. Also check out Condor's bottle holder for one that is a cross between both.
