Way Basics Eco 4 Shelf Malibu Bookcase and Storage Shelf, White (made from sustainable non-toxic zBoard paperboard)

I know it’s “way basic” however I feel like something this size should be a bit more sturdy!

Simply put, this is a pretty wonderful product indeed. It is stylin', well-made & incredibly innovative. I was pretty hesitant upon first ordering it if I am being completely honest. Thought it looked like it might be cheap & not very well constructed, & of course, the idea of furniture made out of recycled cardboard gave me great pause indeed but I was very happily surprised. Was honestly not expecting much at all, thinking these were some cheap-o, “as seen on teevee” type of gimmicky crap, but alas & alack, they are not only useful but very well-made & indeed so very very cool-looking to boot! Who woulda’ thunk that you could make such stunning, modern, forward-design type stuff out of cardboard!? Obviously, Mr. Chiang & his delightful Way Basics folks & kudos to them indeed! This really quite stunning bookcase is indeed delightful & well-constructed, & incredibly useful.I have purchased this, the Malibu, & the equally stunning Madison Bookcase & Storage Shelf for my newly refurbished workout room & they look incredible. I really couldn’t be more pleased. No worries about strength either, both are holding items of various weights- my Muhammad Ali books, a vintage 8-track component, a silver T-Rex (they can even hold a dinosaur!), & various other waycool stuff (even actual weights!).This bookcase is indeed a very high-quality, innovative & stylish product. Both these bookcases are wonderful products & give me much hope Way Basics will produce a lot of great stuff for all my furniture & storage needs.Both my oh-so-goth adolescent son & my curmudgeonly elderly pops bought record cubes from them as well & are equally delighted.I highly recommend all their stuff for those who want stylish furniture that is strong, resilient, forward-thinking & even help save the freakin’ environment! If it seems I am being too hyperbolic, it is because this company & their goods deserve all that praise & much, much more. Just wonderfully done stuff indeed…Buy from Way Basics & enjoy!

Not very sturdy, held together by cardboard pegs and adhesive strips that don't stick very well to the paperboards, one of which slipped out of my hand falling about 12 inches to the floor and smashed the corner in I expected better quality for $99!

Won't buy again. Cheap. Cheap. Cheap. With no way to hang...
