The only thing not included is bait/food, but if you bring that along, you're ready to fish straight out of the box. I did buy these (I own 4) because they are super easy to use. They do get dirty fairly quick. I had to glue the rod together on one as the tip came off during a cast. So, I just rubber cemented all of them and have not had any issues since. They cast decent, reel up nicely most times and have not knotted up or any other issues. You can just tell that they are basic. I have stepped up to a better rod and reel combo for myself, but these get used every fishing session and do the job nicely.

Quality product

This is a great bundled kit of rod, reel, a few lures, and hooks. It's great for the type of fishing I do - panfish like bass and crappie from the shore or small boat. The reel breaks kinda easy if the rod if dropped on a hard surface like a driveway and I've had to replace 2 bundles because of it but all in all I'm satisfied with the product and recommend it.

I got this one for my 92 year old Mother. It was time to get her something new and fun. We've used Zebco rod and reels since I was a kid - that was my first one in fact. All our fishing stuff was about shot ...old and worn out and we decided we need to start fishing again. So we wanted simple and easy...and this is perfect for that. The tackle that comes with it is pretty basic and so so useful but we have other lures etc. But it's great for someone who doesn't fish alot, doesn't know how or a kiddo getting started. They are super easy to use and take a good beating. We usually go bass fishing for fun....and not after huge fish...so if we get a 2 pound one we are happy. I don't know if it would take catching a huge fish....but this is just perfect for our needs.
