This wonderful Carousel is nostalgic and beautiful. It reminds me of the times I'd take my children to ride on the Big Carousel near the National Mall and then have popcorn when they were very young. All of us were immediately reminded of those very happy memories when this charming Merry-Go-Round filled with light and gently spun to happy tunes. I bought the larger Mr. Christmas Carousel and the big tent is adorned with prisms that allow the light to shine thru with dazzling beauty. There are several settings to control the ring of lights encircling the base so you can choose to allow it to strobe, flash or remain steady. It comes programmed with several different Holiday tunes which you can allow to play in succession, click thru to find a favorite, or you might choose to turn the volume all the way down if you just want to silently enjoy the lights and the movement of Santa and the Elf each in a sleigh with Reindeer. I have to tell you my kids & I love it and so does my Mom. Even my neighbors commented saying, 'That's So Pretty.' It's a happy Christmas decoration each of us enjoys.

This carousel has a great visual and the variety of songs is nice. I only have one complaint and that is when you have the music the mechanism that turns the carousel is a little loud. I was hoping that you could turn the sound off and just have the visual but without any noise but the mechanism is to loud for that to be a reality but I still think it is a great carousel.

This is beautiful in detail and craftsmanship. Worth the price, the quality shines. I love that the music tgat plays has volume adjustment, so it can b anywhere from loud to very soft. Everything works perfectly, thankfully well packages as box was crunched during delivery. Loving this holiday keepsake for many years to come.

These carousels have a lovely wooden base, velvet cloth red and white top, reindeer that move gracefully up and down, 2 sleighs, and unusual music arrangements that have grown on me with time. There are a number of things to like about this compared to other holiday carousels. First of all, the music is ONLY Christmas (not year round) and contains full songs instead of snippets. The sound quality is decent and songs can be switched to the next one with the push of a button. The lights can be either steady or change with the music (but not well synchronized). The most important thing for me is the quality of the product. Most of the others I own from Mr. Christmas look like cheap plastic toys. This one exudes quality with detailed painting on the reindeer and other figures, and their graceful, mesmerizing movement. I knocked off one star because it was made in China, and I don't know how long it will last--which is a concern for something this expensive. QVC had the same items earlier this year, but a large number of them either arrived broken or had lights that soon died. The Mr. Christmas warranty is only 90 days. It's a shame that for an item this lovely and expensive, that they don't offer more of a warranty or allow you to purchase an extended plan.

This is a first rate holiday musical. First, the music is not the short version of any song but are full and taylored to the musical. The light around the base of the Merry Go Round flash in sync with the music. All reindeer move up and down well. The packing for this item was almost too much. There is a folded pience of card board that goes around the reindeer pole to keep them in place and prevent jarring movements. The syrofoam sandwich hold this up off the bottom of the box and away from the sides allowing more safety space. The power adapter is easy to plug in and small in size. Now, the music is fabulous. The motion is right on for speed and Santa rides on his sleigh while elves handle gifts. There is unlimited volume control and three choices of operation. There is a small switch that allows you to change the music at your choice. The crystal like windows over the animals are well lit and not overbearing. This was my third Merry Go Round order and the first two from another source arrived broken. This item is hefty, has non marring feet. A true source of joy.

Well packaged and such a beautiful piece. It was an early Xmas gift for my Mother and when she say it she was in tears. It reminded her when she was a little girl and when on a carousel for the first time 70 years ago. Worth every penny.
