FUN Costumes Silver Steampunk Victorian Costume Monocle or Necklace

High quality. Looks like a real monocle, not a cheap costume accessory. Worth the price.

I LOVE this item! As soon as I picked it up from my p.o. box, I immediately opened it and wore it on the drive home, which included a stop for gas, and for groceries LOL! It takes some practice to wear, and to learn how to hold in place, without it falling out. It is SLIGHTLY big for me, however I am a small woman and I tend to find clothing, hats, and glasses that fit me are either a large in child's size, or a small in juniors. I was able to (VERY GENTLY!!) bend the monocle to fit me slightly better, but I wouldn't recommend doing this, as you are sooner to break it. However if you open your eye wide as possible, lifting the eyebrow, and then placing the monocle with bottom wire at the lower ocular bone, then lower your eyebrow to hold in place, you will find that the monocle stays in place fairly well. Simply avoid any facial movements like raising the eyebrow of the eye in which you are wearing the monocle. I myself removed the leather necklace the item came with, and instead crafted a silver chain that I can connect one end to the monocle the other end of the chain I can attach to a brooch or a button hole on a jacket. Really happy with this purchase!!

The monocle is simple, and good for a scholarly Renaissance look. It is, however, difficult to use without constant adjustment and blinking as it is very close to the eye and will hinder the arc of long eyelashes.But this can be said of all monocles, so overall, it is good piece.

I love this monocle. I dressed up as The Penguin for Halloween and got praise for it. Although I have not figure out how to use it right without it falling off unless I hold onto it but I still love it since I have always loved monocles. It also makes me feel like Veronica Sawyer from Heathers played by the ever so talented and wonderful Winona Ryder. I swear of all the Amazon products I have bought this one is my favorite just because I believe it was money well spent. It is fake glass but who cares it looks real and authentic and I love my monocle. Shipped quickly as I remember since it has already been more than a year since I purchased. Phew! Time passes by fast...I still have it and has not worn out but I take good care of it.P.S. I say it is somewhat large but that is because I have a tiny face and a big nose and have not mastered the skillful way of keeping this cool thing in place on my face without me having to hold onto it as I explained above. But I still give it 5 stars because I love it that much.

I ordered this to go with my steampunk outfit I had for an Anime Convention. It looks good but is too big. It says on the cardboard "men's", which I must have missed somewhere in it's description. But it was even to big for my guy friend. I ended up pinning it to my jacket and had it dangle about. It let me twirl it in my hand occasionally. But you can't where it for the look. Best to say, it's really good for a prop. Wish it was smaller. Nice leather cord it had come with.

Perfect for my sons costume. We did order the "suggested" top hat to go with it. The eye piece is pretty high quality for a costume piece. It does have the two frame pieces on the back side to help hold it on your eye. It is slightly bendable to make it a tad smaller for my son to wear. Very nice rope necklace that is attached. Huge. The size of a dinner plate. I have what I believe to be an average size head, but wouldn't even come close to fitting. Two stars because it has the galleries on it, and it would be great for someone with an enormous head.

This thing is a great buy and a lot of fun. I bought it as something goofy to wear while out and about in New Orleans. It was a big hit with my friends and with random strangers. I told people in a bar that my health insurance only paid for 50% of vision. They found that mildly funny. While wearing the monocle I told a guy in glasses that I liked his glasses...he quickly told me that he likes my glass.I was called the Monopoly Man at one point and also Mr. Peanut but that was okay...it made people laugh.True men wear a monocle!
