Brooklyn Whopper 38inch Overall (92BSL)

It is truly frightening to think of what this bat could do in a defense situation. It is over sized and quite heavy, which isn't a bad thing. This translates into devastating impact. I would cringe to be on the receiving end. It is also good for training because of it's size and length. When you go to your smaller bats for defense, they are much easier to wield as a result. Either way, the Brooklyn Whopper is a good investment - and - everyone identifies with a baseball bat if God forbid you had to use it and it was presented as evidence. Hope this helps.

I decided to buy this to leave by the back door after my brother saw some wet footprints on the porch that didn't come from any of us. It feels a little safer leaving that out in the open than a shotgun. It's a little too heavy to swing quickly like a regular bat but practice a little and you'll figure out multiple ways to use it like thrusting strikes or choking up and swinging it more like a sledge hammer. Obviously it's not as effective as a gun for home defense but with a little training one could easily handle a knife wielding home invader, or throw it at them to buy enough time to get to your guns.

Yuuuge bat, small Kanabo. lol definitely wanna wrap for grip and shock. It will take more than one bat wrap. I did Lizard skin low for more shock absorption and higher up is athletic tape and electrical tape. The bat itself held up flawlessly bashing wood planks and tree branches but gives your hand that gnarly polypropylene sting. Its a big, fun play/training bat for martial arts. Practice with this "whopper" but keep the "crusher" or the "smasher" next to the bed.

My Picture doesn't do the size of this thing justice ( For reference the other bat is my girlfriends "My Home U Run" bat. ) We previously lived in a large major metro city where we couldn't move away fast enough. After our cars being broken into several times, our home once, and our garage was cleaned out we moved to the suburbs..... sadly old habits die hard. I had originally purchased just the Cold Steel bat but once it arrived my girlfriend quickly pointed out that she couldn't use the bat very effectively due to it's size and heft. There"s about a 1 foot and 100lbs difference between us and she looked like she was trying to lug around a tree trunk. They make multiple sizes so learn from my mistake and make sure to consider all of the end users!

Nice bat for self defense. It is slightly heavy to swing with one hand. If one uses 2 hands for self defense, you should be fine. I will be using for dog walks, to scare the stray dogs that come after my dog. One hand holding on to the dog, the other hand to swing at the stray dogs. It is a nice length to keep dogs at a distance. It will also be used for home defense.

If your undecided on which Cold Steel bat to get for self defense & are are in decent physical condition, choose the Whopper. The Whopper is the longest of all the models at a full 38" in length giving you more power & speed while maintaining more distance from you target. You just shorten your grip for more control if needed in close quarters. The Whopper is only 9 ounces heavier than the next size down which is the Smasher, and about a 1 lb. heavier than the Crusher. It is not difficult to control & the extra length is great for shattering a knee cap or knife attackers hand. The only Cold Steel Youtube videos of their bat splintering apart hardwood pallets & a huge Cow femur bone is the Whopper! Just practice with the Whopper & you'll grow into it Son! Great for conditioning & a must have for defense!

It's not "huge" and it's not that heavy to be honest, it has some weight but nothing you couldn't manage in a situation, I've read some really dramatic reviews now that I have one I'm just rolling eyes SMH

It my own fault. The material warned it was substantial, and it is. Too much so. I used to play baseball and I'm in decent shape for 65, but the 38" weighs too much to control effectively. I'd maybe get one swing. Then whomever I was trying to smack with it would just take it off me. I've got the mini bat. It is the right size, at least for me. This one is for Dwayne Johnson or Mr T. Not the average joe. Like me.

im 280lbs and this thing is legit - not for small/weak people for sure - I could probably take down a small house with this (not the concrete) of given enough time

Es realmente imponente, pesado pero no hasta el punto de restarle eficiencia. Yo soy de complexión fuerte, lo digo porque si eres de complexión media tal vez podría ser mejor el inmediatamente inferior. El material es muy denso, tiene pinta de resistir el paso del tiempo y de los impactos. 😉💪

Ceci n'est pas une batte de baseball mais en a la forme, c'est un objet de protection personnel disons, c'est une batte en plastique semi dur d'une qualité imbattable, très lourde pour une batte de baseball ce qui fait qu'elle n'est pas réellement utilisable pour jouer. C'est un très bel objet, très solide, très bon je dirais mais pas pour jouer. Donc au final assez peu utilisable en globalité.

Tut was er soll. Ein sportgerät der besonderen Art. Gut verarbeitet etwas schwergängig. Aber für jeden Einsatz bereit.
