Bear Archery unisex-adult Bear Arrow Rest/Silent Plate Multi, One Size, (AS3572000)

I collect and shoot vintage Bear bows. They make for great replacements for worn/aged originals. Looks looks nice and works great.

Not much to go wrong here. This shelf rug has a peel off strip to expose the adhesive bottom. I lay the unpeeled rug on my arrow shelf, and trace it with a pen. I then cut it with a slight extra margin for error. It goes on smooth and looks nice. The plastic side plate works decent too from what I can tell. DO NOT use arrows with plastic vanes if you are using this shelf rug; feathers ONLY. The plastic vanes will quickly tear up this rug, and are not designed to be shot off the shelf.

My version of this is a NOS (New Old Stock) authentic Bear Archery product, which I don't remember from the product listing. The adhesive on the back of the leather (vinyl) piece for the upright part of the riser is perfect and strong, but there is no peel off on the "rug" part for the arrow rest shelf. I tried applying heat to activate it to no avail, and the product comes with no instructions. I'm seeking an alternative for affixing the rug, otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review.

After having used this rest for some time and after putting hundreds of arrows on it, I can say with certainty that it does the job and does it well. For the price, you can't beat it. Now, as a caveat, I didn't use the silent plate. I took the advice of other reviewers and right off the bat bought two and used the second rest as my plate. It worked like a dream. Installation is ridiculously easy. Essentially just peel and stick. Obviously, do it carefully and as precisely as you can. And clean the areas where you're going to be sticking them, otherwise they won't stay on well. This is true of any adhesive. Other than that, you're good! These rests are perfect for the price and I couldn't recommend more. You won't be displeased.

Simple, straight-forward product that does the intended job. Both parts in the package are easy to install. The "hair" strip will need to be fitted to your bow but it is a simple task. Simply lay the strip on your bow shelf (where the arrow will rest) will the adhesive backing still on. Keep in mind the way the "hair" lays when brushed to promote less friction. Then, mark the shape of your shelf on the strip with a marker or pen. After that, simply trim the strip to fit with a sharp pair of scissors. Finally, you can remove the adhesive backing and stick it in place. All in all, this is a great product at a fair price!

Not sure if it's a genuine Bear product but it works great on my 62 year old Bear Polar recurve bow. Also gives it the old school look that this bow deserves. Easy installation. Just have to cut to fit, peel the backing off and press firmly. I've been a lot more accurate sine replacing the old leather rest with this.

I replaces an older felt arrow rest with the one from this set, and it's a big difference. The old felt was wearing out, and honestly wasn't protecting my fletching at all. This rest is SOFT, and yet still, I think it will take a lot of abuse. The sticky tape could be a bit stronger of course, but I won't be complaining, because no doubt this will need to be replaced sooner or later... better to have it easier to remove than glued in place forever, making it impossible to get off again.

First, I'd like to address the many reviews that claim there is no sticky part. The paper backing on the sticky part is multi-layer paper. So you may think you are peeling the paper off, but you're really just peeling one layer of it, hence ending up with (as one review stated) "The whole cardboard part came off leaving just some fussy paper underneath with no sticky part to it at all." I had the same thing at first. You just have to try again to start peeling the paper until you get to the sticky stuff. I had to use a scalpel to tease the edge of the paper up in order to peel it off. Before peeling the paper off the back, I held it to my shelf by hand and marked the bottom so I could cut it to shape with a pair of scissors. A pen didn't work on the backing paper, so I marked it with my scalpel, but a sharpie would probably work (I didn't want to risk getting ink on my bow). Alternatively, some people prefer to stick the whole piece to the shelf first, then trim with a blade to fit.

Good quality product for shooting off the shelf. I've used several now on different bows. Not the cheapest. However, the durability and consistent quality makes them good value. Imo.

Not much to say. It does exactly what it's supposed to do.
