Perfect fit
Yes it's plastic, looks perfect and love the no sound. Box had some external damage, but clock was fine. So far so good.

Plastic and assembly required - otherwise great
Like other reviewers have already said, this clock is entirely plastic and comes to you in quarters that need to be screwed together. If you can handle the minor assembly, this looks great on the wall and, from a distance (i.e. hanging high on your wall), you can't even tell it's made of plastic. Clock is also super quiet, no audible ticking. One thing to keep in mind in case this bothers you: if you're close enough to the clock to see the brand name/writing on the clock face, it reads the brand name "FirsTime" (why not "FirstTime"??) which would bother me if I could readily see it.

Very attractive
Very flimsy. If this falls off the wall it will be in several pieces. If it fell off the coffee table it would shatter…. It’s fragile enough that you want to be careful grabbing it…. It’s grossly over priced. It could have been much more stable even if it is plastic. It’s a ten dollar clock works and two dollars worth of plastic. That’s the cons. Here are the pros. Beautiful. A really good choice to hang high because it weighs nothing. You’ll smile every time it needs a battery.

Exactly what I was looking for
I’m not sure what the fuss is about in some of the reviews. Yes, it is plastic. Yes, you have to assemble it. Is it worth $80? That one could be up for debate.Assembly is easy until mounting the movement to the ring. The instructions say to lay it on its face to mount the center ring/movement. If you lay it on its face, you will no doubt bend the clock hands. Having a second set of hands to hold it upright is a better solution (Tho it does come with an extra set of hands in case of damage). The clock has kept very good time in the month that I have had it. I actually appreciate it being plastic as I have it mounted higher in the room and it is light enough in weight to easily carry up a ladder. And yes, if you are close enough you can see the seam where it is assembled. Yet they do line up nicely and no one notices unless you point it out.I debated taking off one star because of the price, but at the end of the day, I really like the clock. And with others of similar size and design being over $100, I can’t complain too much.

Not as advertised
Absolutely horrible. I read previous reviews about it being plastic but didn’t expect it to be so flimsy and cheap. The plastic literally ripped out in certain areas where the screws were supposed to go. The plastic pieces don’t sit aligned together where it’s very noticeable. Your local Walmart would have higher quality than this. I can’t believe the price point for such a low quality item. So disappointing.

Love it
At first, I thought the clock wasn't working. It didn't tick like other clocks I have. My husband put it up anyway and set the time, figuring we'd wait a few days to see if it worked. Well, it works! The big benefit - it doesn't tick! Even better! It takes about 30-45 minutes to put together. Instructions were clear. It's lightweight and easy to hang.

Nice huge clock, so problems.
This clock is huge and looks nice. You can’t tell it’s plastic. It went together fast. Seems to show accurate time.I’m knocking off 2 stars. Instructions telling you to lay it face down with the fragile hands touching your floor. Also, the bottom half sticks out about 2” from the wall and it won’t lay flat. It looks like the clock mechanism is slightly rotated backwards so its top hits the wall lifting the bottom of clock off the wall. I’ll need to see if loosening the screws to the bottom half or clock mechanism will fix this problem. A quick search showed I’m not the only person with this problem.I got this for almost half price so a good deal even with this problem. I’d only recommend this if you can get a big price break from the original price. If I figure out how to get this to lay flat I’ll up the stars. Right now it looks like a defect in the design and not worth >$100 original price.Update 3/13/24;I tried loosening screws and even reversing the mounting bracket but it still sticks out 2”. I finally used 2 sided tape to lay it flat to the wall. This could become a headache 2 times a year when I need to change the time for daylight savings time. It’s obviously defective. Not sure I want to repack it and exchange it for another one.

Yes it's plastic and has to be assembled, but definitely worth it
My husband was wanting a metal clock to hang here on our wall, upon searching and seeing the price of them, I came here. I seen all these negative reviews, but most seemed like they were from people who didn't read what they were getting in advance, and/or didn't know what they were doing putting it together. Yes it comes in a small box, with 8-10 pieces, and tiny screws. It is plastic and screws into plastic and you have to take some time and patience putting it together or the screws will strip out. The hands are very flimsy, and bend easily (it comes with and extra set). Given all that, if you take your time, and put it together correctly, once you hang it, you can't even tell it's plastic, and the size is exactly what we wanted.
