This book is great. It served me well in my collecting, now I just need an updated version.If you look at the listed prices vs what stuff goes on gunbroker and gun shows, most of the time people are paying or asking WAY over what the book says, but sometimes it works well to talk someone down on a price.Plus, it's just cool to look your collection up and get an idea of what stuff is worth....

Here's another good tool in the quest to identify and get a ballpark price for many military firearms. With this and other sources can provide clues to the puzzle. I own a Norwegian Krag Jorgenson rifle that I had very little idea what it was. I was told it was Swiss, but needed more to go on. Got this and there it was. Recommended.

Good book, has a lot of good information, but is a bit outdated (gun prices can change daily though, so you can't get an up-to-date printed book). My biggest complaint is that sometimes information just ends without actually finishing the entry. For example, the Ljungman AG-42B (and by the way, where tf is the Ljungman AG-42? The 42B wouldn't exist if the 42 didn't come first) has a nice paragraph on the history, then completely omits the standard entry (weight, caliber, GUN VALUES). This book is good, except for the few glaring omissions that I have found.

The level of detail will satisfy most military firearms collectors out there for 'general' pricing of your favorite shooters. For more detailed write ups on a particular firearm it would be more helpful to consult a specific book on a series or single firearm. It had all the ones I have been curious about and then a lot more. Great book for general price reference.

This book has very reliable price information. It gives values for firearms in excellent, very good, good, and fair condition. I've compared my recent rifle purchases, and their conditions, to the prices in the book, and most match almost exactly. As a classic rifle collector, this book is an essential part of my new hunting strategy.

This is truelly an outstanding volume. I originally bought this to learn about several military rifles I obtained. This is the best book I've read on specifics on these firearms. I would highly recommend to any one looking for specific, exact information. Tha authors obviously did their homework. Thank you!!

I had previous edition 2nd and 3 rd and i was suprise that this latest edition was really up to date...I verify a lot of rifles and there was an increase in price ....so the editor DID THEIR JOB. I recommend this book not only for the value but for the precious informationregarding model, number of production and value for sure...great book to get.

Pour les collectionneurs amateurs (comme moi), une mine de renseignements (même si il pourrait y en avoir encore plus), et surtout un nombre incalculable de modèles différents...Je ne parle pas anglais, dommage ! Mais avec de telles livres, je vais sans doute m'y mettre.Pour tous ceux qui aiment les armes de ce siècles.

Great book for firearms collector.Lot of pictures and valuations.There is eveything in this book !Many pages with suggestions and explanation plus a short history about any nation.
