I just finished installing in jeep wrangler so I can't speak to durability but item feels like real high quality. I can say this splitter runs a dash camera and a obd2 reader (sprint auto) at the same time with no issues. The problem I see in a lot of reviews is because the wires are stiff the item can get in the way of drivers feet. It is hard to hide. The answer to this is to get an obd2 extension so you can have more flexibility.

Hand. Makes the job easier. You can connect a second scanner while test driving with this. For instance, if you're running a graph comparison on some o2's with a full scanner you can check monitor completion on a small hand held during the test drive.

1. Splitter functionality nerfs down the features of OBD2 port. For some reason, I am not able to get all the diagnostics codes when using this splitter 2. The splitter is not DISCREET at all. It is a bulky device 3. I use a GPS tracker which only requires power from OBD2 port. One of the two ends of the splitter is getting the full voltage, while the other one is only getting a fraction of it. 4. The wires are very stiff. Overall, not a good purchase

It simply works, I use it in my Audi S4 to power my gauge that displays boost pressure/etc as well as my hardwired dash camera. It's given me no issues, no regrets.

The cables are thick and hard to maneuver into place . Definitely well made and does the job
