Great blender!
I was looking for a nice blender that wasn't amazingly expensive. I looked at Pampered Chef and Vitamix and those were way out of range. On the other side of things, I found blenders around $100 that seemed to fall apart and break pretty often. The Jawz was priced in between and seemed to be made of quality components, so I decided to give it a shot. I've made plenty of smoothies with it and my husband has been very impressed - never before have we been able to have smoothies at home that are the same consistency as smoothies you would buy when out and about. It blends easily and offers a smooth drink, though it is very loud. Understandable, since it's literally chopping frozen stuff up really fast. It has a safety switch and is very robust. It's easy to clean and use, and storage hasn't been a challenge (though the base is quite tall - be sure to check it's height before you buy to make sure it will fit in your cabinets). We had a Vitamix from the 80s that still worked, but needed a replacement part (I gave it to my parents and they fixed it up). Overall, the ease-of-use of this one is superior to the old one, and I'm happy to have made the switch. I can't say how it compares to current Vitamix models, though. If you're looking for a solid blender that's easy to use and offers "smooth smoothies," I would recommend this one. If you've got tons of money to spend or need to do some specialist-type things, those in the more expensive price range might offer more options as far as what you can do with the machine.

Great price and so easy to use and clean
PRICE: With comparable high performance blenders costing much more (e.g. a new base model Vitamix or a refurbished base model Blendtec both costing near $300), this Jawz High Performance Toggle Switch Blender is a great deal at only $199.99. LOOKS: This blender looks great and feels sturdy and of high quality. It is about the same size as comparable Vitamix and Blendtec blenders. The toggles, switches and container are well marked. FUNCTIONALITY: Almost everything is easy with this blender, from operating it using the simple toggles and buttons, to scraping and cleaning the square edged container and cleaning the base. The only thing that is a bit challenging is not having a tamper to help push down ingredients while the blender is blending. Instead, you have to stop the blender, take the lid off, use a scraper or spoon to push the ingredients down, put on the lid and blend again. I needed to do this a few times while making the Buffalo Hummus recipe from the included recipe book, but this might have been because I substituted the olive oil for unsweetened apple sauce (we try to avoid all added oils for health reasons). The blender stays put on the counter even when blending at high speed. However, the air vents on the sides push out quite a bit of air, so loose items like paper could be pushed around. Like any loud appliance or tool I use, I make sure to wear ear protection during use. IMPORTANT NOTE: the instructions warn not to blend hot liquids (item 13 on page 3 of the Instructions Manual). MY FAVORITES: What I like most about this blender is how easy it is to use and clean. I especially love the square edged container, which makes it so easy to scrape, clean up and dry with a cloth. My favorite thing to make with it is a smoothie, since it takes me no more than 5 minutes from putting the ingredients in to having the blender all cleaned up afterwards. Ice doesn't stand a chance with this blender. Unless you have a need for the extra features of the higher-priced Jawz blenders, I recommend this lower-priced base model, as most of the time, you will likely only need a low or high speed option and a pulse option. Happy blending!

Super powerful blender, great for making oat flour
I was lucky and picked it up for $39.82 in 2021. I see it's no longer available, but I'll tell you what the Jawz is great at, making oat flour. I discovered oat flour flatbread ideas as a way to eat healthier, but I tried a regular food processor and it wasn't getting the oats broken down enough. Then I remembered I had the "Jawz". It makes oat flour with no problem whatsoever. As a tip, make sure you put at least six cups of oats in or the flour will get stuck in the corners, but other than that this thing is a beast.

Broke after 3 uses
After just two uses, I noticed a significant issue with the Jawz High Performance Blender. The part of the blender stand that is responsible for spinning the blade, a crucial component for the blender's functionality, got stripped. This is particularly concerning considering the blender is marketed as a commercial-grade, high-performance appliance, capable of handling a variety of ingredients and tasks. The stripping of this part has rendered the blender practically useless. Despite the blade spinning, it fails to interact with the ingredients in the blender, making it incapable of blending anything. This is a major flaw, especially considering the blender's robust design and its claim of having extra strong ice crushing capabilities. The issue occurred surprisingly quickly, after only two uses, which raises questions about the durability and quality of the blender's construction.

Cannot buy a replacement pitcher
This blender works great. My complaint is that you cannot buy a replacement pitcher when the original pitcher gets worn out. You would have to buy a new unit. The at is where I am now.
