Got this to go with my Cold Steel MAA Hand and a Half, since the black matches the black of the sword and scabbard. The buckling loop up top is perfect for securing the blade at the guard, which is crucial with a sharp blade. It holds the sword snugly at a good drawing angle.

As others have said, the rivets are a weak point and mine arrived with one missing. Fortunately I had an antique coat button laying around made from an old coin, and it made for a rather stylish repair. The leather seems to be of good quality and it fits my Windlass pirate cutlass well. Seems to be good value for the money, but I'll be carrying a few black zip-ties to the Halloween party just in case.

Good quality thick leather, rich dark color. No problems securing the sheath for my dirk (I don’t know how large it can accommodate, I wouldn’t expect it to fit an overly wide sword stealth). Only complaint that I could make is that the leather color doesn’t match up with the 2 other harness pieces I’ve purchased from Armory Replicas (none of them match) but the quality is on par with the frog I use for my tomahawk (which is good). I plan to buy another one of these for another knife that I can wear behind my back (one for left hand, one for right hand)

Very satisfied with this frog. It looks great, fit my belt and my scabbard perfectly. I was worried that it wouldn't be able to hold my scabbard without slipping, but it clings to it tightly. It has a leather "string" that you can loosen and tighten somewhat easily. Can't wait to wear it to the renfest!

For starters, the fact that they advertise this as being real leather is disrespectful to anyone even remotely familiar with actual leather. It is very clearly imitation leather. I am surprised at the sturdiness of the laces, though - for imitation leather, it's reasonably strong, stronger than most imitation leather I've worked with. The 'rivets' aren't actually rivets, they're Jiffy rivets, which are nowhere near as strong as real rivets, or even chicago screws... but they sure are cheaper! The highest quality pieces of this frog are likely the D-rings. I feel like the most value I'll get out of this frog is from disassembling it, so I can copy the pattern to real leather and produce a genuinely nice frog. Tbh, just getting the pattern and D-rings is worth the price paid for this product. I will also add a small leather bar on the longer strap to keep it from folding over on itself and causing the sword to sit incorrectly.

I was impressed with the quality of the leather. Craftmanship is good and it fits different sizes of scabbards. Liked it so much I bought a second with the peace strap.

I got this to hold my rapier and it worked perfectly.....The design of the rapier i have to have it up a bit higher than normal but thats the rapier not the frog. the leather laces in the frog were way too stiff and i couldnt tighten them so i replaced them with a regular black shoelace and it looks perfectly fine.

I received this today. It was the second time I ordered this item because on the first order they sent me the LEFT HANDED version instead of the RIGHT HANDED version as shown in the picture. I received the correct RIGHT HANDED version today. It is definitely not made of leather; it appears to be two layers of some sort of man-made material. It seems to be robust and I hope it proves durable and long lasting. I am disappointed that it is not made of leather so I docked one star. But it was on ly $20. I tried it on my stretchy fabric belt; however, the weight of my metal sword dragged it down and stretched the belt a bit. With the weight of my sword I will definitely need to use a thick durable leather belt. I hope that works out. Given the weight of the sword I may have to purchase a Baldric sword belt with shoulder strap to hold it up on my left hip. Overall for the $20 price I suppose it is acceptable; however, I might have to use a light weight sword with it (e.g., plastic or foam).

Craftsmanship seems ok, but this is not real leather like in their pictures. This is all synthetic.

Extremely poor quality; leather thong broke immediately, and rivets holding the "sleeve" section came lose after only ten minutes.
