Bought these to repair a cheap guitar I've had since the 1970s. I needed to drill holes as the original tuning system was very different. Most people won't need to do any drilling, however, if you do be aware you need to drill a 9.8mm diameter hole but ideally only to a partial depth as the string side of the tuning peg is a smaller diameter and it's best (although not essential) to get a snug fit both sides. All six mechanisms worked, were reasonably shiny, and all parts including screws were present. They seem to hold the tuning well and to my ear were able to be precise, but I'm no expert. In summary cheap and cheerful, an economic way to keep a cheap guitar from going to landfill.

These seem ok but im no expert. NOTE - They would not fit on my guitar because the screw that hold the machine head into the guitar is in a different position. I only needed a new tuner peg so made it work but beware, to make this work would have meant drilling new holes and having the old hole exposed!!

Like I said they are OK and do the job. The action is a bit rough ie turning heads to tighten strings. Also the chrome plating is a bit rough. But for what you pay they are fine. You wouldn't put them on an expensive guitar. Mines are on my caravan guitar.

Bought for a ornamental instrument so didn't really worry about needing anything of super high quality and they needed to be cheap. The surprise was that these are actually REALLY good. I'm not going to pretend they are as smooth as Grover's but they feel far more expensive than they cost. The buttons are plastic bit of good quality, the chrome look even and solid. Buy with confidence.

Bought to replace a stripped thread on my Washburn Acoustic. Direct replacement; not exactly the same, but you can only tell up close (round cap white rather than chrome). Be aware, you have to buy all six.
