my mouse boy loves his log! this is the perfect size for him. it is way too small to be safe for a syrian. niteangel has great products. i wish i could afford to buy more of all their products but for right now it is one piece at a time.

I love this little tree trunk. Please be aware that it is made for dwarves ONLY. The holes are indeed tiny for a Syrian but work well for a dwarf. I wish the holes were bigger to accommodate either breed, but I have been using it fine with my dwarf. It does give a very natural forestry vibe. I am a little confused as to why people in a FB group said that this log is not safe, not even for a dwarf. Niteangel is one of the only brands available in the US that specializes in small animals. Everything I have bought from them so far has been of high quality. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I wish the holes were bigger, but it does fit a dwarf okay, as advertised. Other than that, an exceptional tunnel.

Awesome little wooden log! My hamsters enjoy going in and out of it or just plain hiding in there. It made a nice addition to my hamster habitat, keeping in flow with the natural theme. It smells just like wood, no chemical smell or off-putting smell at all.

I bought this for my daughter's Gerbils: Dino, Tony, and Marco. Like most rodents, gerbil teeth keep growing and they need something hard to chew to wear those teeth down. The Niteangel Natural Wooden Hamster Mouse Tunnel Tube Toy Forest Hollow Tree Trunk met this need for these youngsters nicely. They love going in and out of the many holes, which are quite round and not splinter-y at all - and they love to chew around the holes, which helps to grind those teeth down. It is kinda expensive for a short stub of tree branch, but I don't have a tree branch, nor the kind of drill to make holes this big so the folks that make the Niteangel Natural Wooden Hamster Mouse Tunnel Tube Toy Forest Hollow Tree Trunk have one up on me there. Our recently passed gerbil was quite stout in his old age and probably would not have fit through the holes, but he would have furiously chewed the entrance in a futile attempt to enter - which would have served the purpose, though your pudgier hamster/gerbil might miss out on the fun of travelling through the holes. All in all, I and my daughter are satisified with our Niteangel Natural Wooden Hamster Mouse Tunnel Tube Toy Forest Hollow Tree Trunk - Dino, Tony, and Marco seem to like it too.

They’re cute pieces, but I believe they might be too small even for my dwarf hamsters. :(
