Revelation: The Bride, the Beast & Babylon

Even though I'm a Baptist I've been watching Pastor Doug Batchelor for several years on YouTube and other video media. This DVD is an eye opener for those who have been mislead by the old false teachings that have been proven incorrect by many theologians in the past. This DVD goes agains all popular Mainstream teachers that are taught as fact in today's churches. This DVD takes a completely different direction and looks at the Bible as it was seen from the Bible theologians during the Reformation. I can't get enough of Pastor Doug Batchelor's true Bible teachings! At one time I was a true believer in the Left Behind teachings, but after listening to Pastor Doug Batchelor's sermons and his Amazing Facts series along with reading the Bible verses he has mentioned, I know longer believe in the secret Rapture which is so popular in the Left Behind books. The Bible clearly shows this Sanrio will not happen! Thank you Pastor Doug Batchelor, you have opened up my eyes and heart!

I wasn't sure what to expect. After all, Revelation is often very speculative but a well researched and contextual commentary is possible. But always with the understanding that the person doing the speculation is not God and His mysteries will be revealed later on as Paul in, 1 Corinthians 13:12, " For now we see in a mirror dimly, "So, with that said, I thought they did good job. The movie also did a very nice history of the Church and the influences that shaped it. Of course, it is God who truly shapes it but man has always tried to put his input in during the course and history of the Church. Hence we got Solomon's temple, The Pharisee's and Israel's rejection and resulting condemnation of Jesus Christ's heavenly kingdom as opposed to their expectation of an earthly kingdom (people are still getting confused on this matter).However, God's perfect will as always, prevail. Revelation-The Bride, The Beast & Babylon is not perfect. It is not what we as men do. But it is good and a worthwhile view. One can learn from it and do further research on it by going to tothe source: The Holy Bible.

I buy one of these dvds about each month and give them away at my business in my waiting room, along with other christian books and Bible tracts (not just from amazon). Its a good way to reach the generation that no longer reads books. It is a good investment! It also helps to shop around on ebay also or Adventist book Club or amazing Facts Ministry. God bless ya! Mostly about Church history and the coverage is good of that subject, so this move has the wrong title mostly.The only thing that really bothers me is even when it did talk about Revelation which is almost not at all. The interpretation of the the woman in Revelation chapter 12 is wrongly said to be the church this is not the church! She is Israel. The church is symbolized as a virgin but this woman is Pregnant with the messiah that comes from Israel.

The advertisement or commentary in Amazon and their website pretend they will discuss in detail great amounts of Revelation. But instead, they used Book of Revelation as a ploy or a means to simply give you a history of why the Catholic Church is corrupt. It should have been titled "A History of Catholic Church and how they abandoned their roots". There is very little in the way of Revelation. Barely any of it is mentioned. As a personal opinion, I believe that in Revelation, the Babylon Harlot can symbolize ALL Religions that pretend to know Christ or God but instead use their influence for their own aims. I feel sad that any who profess to follow Christ's teachings would use deceptive tactics to manipulate believers into buying such a DVD. This was about Protestant religion vs. Catholic Church and not an honest analysis of Revelation. I would hope that those who made this DVD could pray for some humility.

COOL ! what makes this dvd MORE RELEVANT is the fact it was released WAY BEFORE the Pope said " there is no Hell. " if the pope is God's representative on earth, then it's LIKE FATHER...UNLIKE SON. ' Irony : Pope rhymes with dope.

Worth the buy-So far my favorite Doug Batchelor video made. Its so interesting and full of history. I catch myself watching it multiple times. If you are wanting to know more about history of the church and the book of revelation you need to get this.

I expected a lot more. I kept an open mind about this DVD, but it felt like I was watching a propaganda video. However, I give it 2 stars because it is professionally done.

Easy viewing, very well made and full of information that made you want to continue watching.

All the interpretation is based on the fact that ancient Rome was built over seven hills.If that's enough for you, fine... but not for me. Also, I am not a catholic if that is what you are thinking...
