The picture shows 2 colors in the valance; is that what we get or do we have to purchase a contrasting color ourselves and add to the valance?

That's what you'll be getting, no need to purchase a second color

Is this a full length curtain, meaning does it fall straight down to the ground

The curtain panels are 51x84 so if you measure from the top of where you plan to mount your rod to 84" that will tell you where the two panels will end (should be close to or on the floor). There is an attached valance and tiebacks for each side which will not affect the length of the actual curtain panels. I hope that helps.

Valance normally comes attached to the panel. So I don’t know if it’s sold separately

Yes. It is two curtain panels connected to a valance, plus two tie backs. The panels are not wide, so I would recommend another curtain underneath for full coverage.
