Option enhancer for accessories.
A few bucks can get you an incredible amount of flexibility. This product is example "A". Your options for dealing with add-on accessories is greatly boosted by the sheer contortions you can put this product through to do the job. I've even added another unit or a y-adapter for some wild accessory combinations. If I remember the term right, this was called "field expedient" when I was a combat engineer!

great tool
Great tool, I have an 11 inch arm as well. I use this to attach to my DSLR's cage, and it is very effective for monitors, lights or an audio recorder. The knobs are made of pastic, if they were made of metal I would have given 5 out of 5 stars. Even though they are made of pastic, they still feel secure.

Love it, love it, love it.
I love this arm. It has a cold shoe on one end and a 1/4-20 male thread at the other. I intend to use it on my Camvate camera cage to hold a 7 inch monitor. I like how the whole arm goes floppy when you loosen it up, then goes stiff when you tighten it, enabling you to put it in whatever configuration you want without adjusting and tweaking everything. You just hold it where you want and tighten the knob and you're done. I like it very much and will be ordering one for every one of my camera and film rigs. Highly recommend this item if you're looking for a quality product at a great price.*** If this review was helpful, please let me know. Thanks *** :)

It's great for the money
It's great for the money. However, I use this for a monitor extended from my camera's cage. The monitor is great if you're standing still. If you're on a steadicam this monitor will swing loose.

all metal goodness
I was surprised to find that this one appears to be totally metal and very well built, given the low price. At first inspection, it appears to hold position very solidly when locked down. The middle spin-joint has teeth to ensure solid position holding. The end joints are ball joints which can rotate freely, but lock down when the middle joint is screwed-tight. The camera-end has a metal flash shoe mount, which can be unscrewed to reveal a standard 1/4-20 stub for screwing onto camera rigs and such.Appears to be quite versatile and solid so far.BUT... because it's all metal, it has a bit of heft to it. It weighs 6.6 oz. Keep that in mind, as camera rigs can get heavy quickly with lots of attachment like this.

O.k.
Doesn't seem to have the best quality like other brands. But you get what you pay for and it works good enough to hold my 7" monitor. I would not trust it with my camera.

User Error
I almost made a mistake about this product. I did not realize that the swivels would tighten when the main knob was tightened. Now that I see how it works I can see that it is quality made.

Great arm for the Price
There are better arms out there. However, This one does a Solid job in holding the weight of a small 7" Monitor with battery. If you are on a budget, this is a Solid Buy.

Excellent value for money
I didn't have high expectations of this flexible arm, but have been pleasantly surprised. Once mounted and tightened it is very solid and easily copes with my 7" tablet when clamped to my tripod. Great value for money.

Works well, solidly engineered
well engineered and the articulated arms lock solidly when the hand wheel is tightened. Good selection of 1/4 adaptors as well. I use it to hold a 7" lLCD monitor on my canon 5D

Great value for money
I like these small friction arms I find they don’t slip as much as larger ones, fairly good quality for the price, work brilliantly with clamps - find it too wobbly with the shoe mount..
