Bazaar Anatolia Turkish Pepper Mill Grinder Refillable Spice 4.2" Manual Crank Handle (Antique Copper)

I love these little pepper mill/spice grinders. I liked the first one so much I've ordered three, in different colors, to store and grind three different kinds of pepper: pink, green and Indonesian Muntok a sweet, robust white pepper. I ordered colors that would remind me of which pepper was in each one - ha ha I'm just that clever, or that forgetful, or both. Each of the grinders arrived quickly, in perfect condition, just as pictured and described, and beautifully packaged. These would make wonderful gifts because they are packaged and presented so well, such good quality and so adorable. No, they're not large but they hold a deceptively good sized amount. I'm not refilling them every week by any stretch. I wouldn't use them for my black peppercorns that get the heavy daily use, unless I were a very light pepper user, which obviously I'm not since I have 6 different kinds of peppercorns in my kitchen! They work very well and the little base where you can catch the ground pepper is not only adorable but handy. They come with a little cloth bag and a small matching scoop for putting peppercorns into the little opening, which is actually surprisingly useful, much more so than the funnel I was trying to use. They come in a number of different, pretty colors and look interesting and really nice on the counter top or table. Bonus that the little base on the bottom keeps the pepper from going all over the table or counter and being wasted, like happens with traditional pepper mills. I don't think you'd be disappointed with the Bazaar Anatolia Turkish Grinder to hold and dispense your pepper and spices. If there were more than three colors I'd order another to use for other spices.

I bought this grinder to regrind seasonings that have hardened in their container but evidently I didn’t look at the size of the grinder and it’s so small I can hide it in the palm of my hand, I use it as a decoration instead of the intended use

First of all, I read a few reviews that said this grinder is surprisingly small. Even with that, I was still surprised by its tiny-ness. It is small! While seated in the bowl, from the flat bottom to the highest point on the crank, it is a mere 4 3/8”. As a lady, my hands are fairly large, and I could see this item being difficult to use for someone whose hands are much larger than mine. That being said, this item yields some excellent pepper grounds! I am the disappointed owner of a $150 pepper grinder that has caused me more grief than any pepper grinder is worth. In my quest for a replacement, I saw this adorably crafted gem and thought it worth a try. For the price, you can’t beat it! And the decorative flare it offers my kitchen is an added bonus. It really is quite lovely. In addition, it grinds smoothly, evenly and efficiently. The directions said to grind dry rice through it before use, which I did. It was pretty tough to crank that rice through, and I was afraid it would be the same case with pepper. However, I was pleasantly surprised that with a few easy cranks, it ran the pepper through with no difficulty. The only downside is the slot where pepper loads. It’s tiny, making it a little inconvenient to fill. I wish this came with a peppercorn sized funnel for loading. But I managed and I am happy with my new pepper grinder. Would I buy it again? Sure!

What a great little peppermill! I have been hunting for the perfect grind and I think I finally found it!This little mill holds approximately 2TBS of Peppercorns. It has a matching container on the bottom that you can pregrind your pepper and work from there or grind directly onto your food.It also comes with a small scoop that makes getting the peppercorns easily into the mill. The scoop is shaped just like the opening, so it fits perfectly. My only complaint is the moving latch to keep the peppercorns inside. It does tend to open when you're grinding. I'll figure out a way to fix that. I'm sure it's an easy one.The grind for me is perfect. Since purchasing, I've noticed an increased flavor of the peppercorn. You really get the smokiness, heat, etc from your freshly ground peppercorn.Some of the other mills I have used tired my hands out twisting and twisting to get what I needed. I have found with this mill that I don't need to twist endlessly to get what I need. Being someone who has nerve damage in both hands, this is an A+.This mill is also great for the dinner table since it is small. It's the perfect size for my needs in my little kitchen.I'm currently considering purchasing the larger sized one for a family member. He's also been on a hunt for the perfect grind and also has nerve damage. I'm sure he'll love it as much as I do.Bottom line, stop buying the grinders in the spice section of your grocery store. Save some money and buy your own peppercorns. This peppermill will prove to you it's worth.
