Models Heinkel He 162A-2 Salamander Model Kit

Tamiya makes the bests plastic. Models, bar none. Their cars, boats and airplanes (and radio controlled) are the finest quality, and this kit is a perfect example. The details, instructions, decals, all great. This kit is relatively simple, a good intro into the facilitating and educational world of modeling!

"Typical" exceptional model by Tamiya, and of a very interesting subject! Because the jet was produced late in WWII when German supplies were short, the He-162A was build primarily of wood. Nonetheless, it was the fastest first-generation jet fighter. Also if you are looking to hone your modeling skills, there is a free video at ScaleModelGuide.com that shows you step-by-step how to do a first-class job of building the kit! In the course he covers: assembly, airbrushing, painting, weathering, applying decals, and washes. Really is worth getting this kit to run through Kris's course.

One of the best kits I’ve ever worked with. Absolutely no complaints with fitment and comes with I believe four decal options. Can’t go wrong with Tamiya. Just ordered a second one.

The optional BMW 003 engine had holes that needed putty to seal. The aircraft itself was excellent. Easy to follow instructions. Very good attention to detail. Three stars due to less than usual Tamiya's quality control with the engine.

Great model. It shows how an easy (model and real one) to build fighter was made by the Nazi's at the end of WW2. If Hitler had waited longer to begin WW2 and listened to Albert Spear this conversation might not have taken place (dad, WW2 B-24 radioman).

Another awesome Tamiya kit. Just buy it....the fit and detail is excellent....etched panel lines and rivets....and nice clear parts as well. A lot if detail for such a small aircraft, and a significant effort to detail this throughout by Tamiya' 's people. 4 schemes as well, all were active a/c right at the end of war. This one is especially nice for Tamiya, which almost always makes a good kit to begin with. 7 days from Japan to Ontario CAN! SUPER FAST SHIP!!!!

Du tamiya , aucun soucie. Attention de prévoir la peinture et colle en plus. Et pour les vrai maquettiste prévoir les décalcomanies avec La crois gammé elle n’est pas présente dans le kit

航空機のプラモデルの2作目に選んだキットです。 戦車などのプラモデルはよく作るのですが航空機はほぼ素人の私でさえここまで作る事が出来ました。 パーツ点数も多くなく1/48にしてはコンパクトで完成後も場所を取らないのは助かります笑 デカールは数種類ありますのでバリエーション違いとしてあと2機ほど作ってみたいですね。 航空機模型素人の方でも楽しみながら作れると思います。 流石タミヤ製品！今回もストレスフリーで作る事が出来ました。

Ottimo modello, superdettagliato del resto e un Tamiya....possibile realizzarlo anche con motore di scorta.
