Better than Mobil 1 5W-30 ESP and better value too
I have been using Pennzoil Platinum Euro L Full Synthetic 5W-30 for more than 57,000 miles in my 2017 Chevy Colorado 2.8L diesel RWD pickup. I found this oil by sheer good luck and God's blessing while hopelessly searching for a reasonable price for Mobil 1 5W-30 ESP which was factory fill and recommended by the dealer. I also run used oil analysis and have done so since the 41,000 mile mark on my 2.8L diesel. The comparison between this oil and Mobil 1 which was much more costly made me take notice. I have two lab reports on the Mobil 1 that I was having trouble finding or finding at a decent price and four lab reports on this oil. The lab reports on the Dexos 2, ACEA C3 Pennzoil have been consistently better than the Mobil 1 oil for my engine even with the bypass oil filtration I run on this engine. You simply cannot beat this oil at this value point. It is just incredible. I had to go digging through my owners manual to find the ACEA C3 spec was compatible with my engine but it was one very happy happen stance to me!

It works as oil. Not much to add
It meets the spec that my car needs, and I had no issues. No oil analysis or anything to confirm it worked perfectly, but also no problems.

Good oil for European cars. Factory says 5w20. But for turbo cars it’s safer to run heavier weight. Factory does that to stay in emission.

The only oil I use in my 2.8 Colorado
It's simple: this oil is priced reasonably, and it meets the specs for my diesel Colorado. Driving to a GM dealership and forking over nearly $100 for 6 quarts and a filter is not my idea of a good time.
